Important

So, those MANN trucks didn't work out well for manure haulers?

they actually worked out great, my brother in law jumped ship on my father in law and left him with all the debt tied to their company, so they had to liquidate assets to settle the company. It was a bad deal, but it was the legal way they had to go about splitting things up. I had minimal monetary investment in the trucks, so I was "bought out" and then my FIL took the real ass kicking. My BIL screwed the family BIG time, so now we lick our wounds and keep on plugging along. We still have a 5 wheel (TerraGator) floater, pull type tanker, deuce n half and another big truck for pumping our own barns with, but to not have a contract with the local company this year, so the big trucks and tankers were too much overhead to just have sitting.

Cheese "my BIL should move back to New Zealand.....F'n coward" Man

Ah. I thought that situation had already been taken care of. Crappy deal. :D

this was the finalization of all of it. We had a celebration w/ plenty of scotch last night and some good laughs...we all needed that after all we have been through with that d-bag. We are picking up more acres to farm on a 3 year lease so that will help offset it a bit. We also subleased some ground to a guy that is paying us a fair amount more then we rent it for, so it will be nice to make money w/o having to lift a finger on that piece. It is going to be an interesting year.....

Another sixteen hour day in the garage yesterday, results in a one mile test drive on the jack stands. The WJ brake booster and master cylinder upgrade I did a few years ago won't work with my new axles. So,I'm searching for options.

Lookin' at the Dodge truck and /or Durango MC upgrade.

Did I ever mention how much I hate messing with a fuel pump on an 84-96 xj. That damn metal ring and o-ring can kiss my ass!! :D Now, to go and play in the 20" of snow that fell a few days ago.

I stop the xjbuggypopcan with a stock 95 xj non abs master cylinder. That's d60 front with dual piston calipers and rear discs on the eaton. Works great.

mac 'one of the few original parts left' gyvr

Heep has stock '96 master. 1/2 ton D44 brakes up front, 8.8 discs on the 60 in the back. I need to install my zj proportioning valve sometime, otherwise, it stops the heep with 5.38's and 35's in 4 low and will throw you through the windshield if I stomp on it.

Anyone looking for a tow rig? There is an 07 Dodge quad cab 4x4, long bed i think, diesel, i think its the new dodge motor, not sure, 6sp man, cloth, basic interior, 102k miles and they are asking 20k for it...seems like a deal. At a ma and pa dealer here in tow.

I'll never buy another dodge with cloth interior but seems like a great deal of a truck.

mac 'and dodge didn't make a real quad cab til 2010' gyvr
