Almost had to stop and give a witness statement this morning on the way to work. I have to wonder.....
Highway 52 is a 4 lane boulevard, not quite a limited access freeway. 2 lanes northbound, 2 lanes southbound with a wide grass median between them. Southbound, a semi-tractor/trailer, a small sedan, gap in traffic....... and a MN State Trooper zipping down the left lane with all his lights going. The sedan pulls out to pass the semi. No turn signal. The trooper was right on their bumper before they even got along side the semi. I don't know how hard he had to brake to avoid hitting them, but the sedan just sort of mosied along, didn't try to get out of the trooper's way at all. I'm not sure they even realized the trooper was there.
