Important

I bought a sweet-ass '95 Cutlass Supreme this weekend that will be the new daily driver so I don't have to deal with the diesel issues for a while.

I miss owning Oldsmobiles. I've had them as old as a 64 F-85 convertable with a 425/4 speed, up to a 99 Intrigue that was loaded up with every button you can think of, and many, many in between.

Brad, I dont have the new GP's in it yet. I am holding off for a while to put some $ back. It starts fine when it is plugged in, so I figured I can plug it in for a few more months. I am actually going to check the GP relay and make sure it is not part, or all, of the problem.

Some men are Baptists, others Catholics. My father was an Oldsmobile man.

Nice, I'm currently on Olds #3 and I think I'll keep this one for a while.

I think you should have tried it anyway! With you having new glow plugs I'd think it would start without too much complaining or shaking. Can't remember what temp the owner's manual says to plug it in at. It is nice to just jump in a gasser in the morning and not deal with starting it, injector noise, and taking forever to heat up. You rolling the Cutty down here this weekend?

Dad has an 01 Intrigue that my sister has now been driving for a few years. I stole it for several winters back when all I had was a Trans Am or a GTO. Very nice cars! Still surprised how they managed to fit all that crap in the engine bay. Kinda sad that over time GM has killed off all of the unique brands. Olds, Pontiac...

If I have it I will. It's still up north because I didn't have the trailer this weekend. If I can run up tonight or tomorrow and grab it, and get brakes changed, I'll bring it down.

Nice, In other news some dude at work is FB stalking me......................I'm about to end this dude!

-12 F at the house this morning, I saw -17 on the way in to work. My CTD does start reliably to at least -20 F without assistance, but I generally plug it in below freezing, just to help it turn over easier.

what happened to the XJ?

its 9:00 here i start at 7:30 i have already sold over 500 bucks worth of 6.0 parts not including labor

just saying

I still have it, just need to fix a couple things like the banging in 4wd (t-case chain probably). One of my good buddies was selling the Cutlass. Other than needing rotors/pads it's in great shape and the price was right.

I was kind of figuring the banging was the chain.

the only sucky bit about that is it probably has a 21 splin t-case. Maybe. I'm not sure if that was the original motor/AW4.

It actually works out well, I have a 21-spline 231 sitting in the shop... hopefully when I get some free time I can get it in the shop again and fix that, then I'd start driving it instead of the truck when it's nasty out.

I have an AMC 231 if any of the parts would be needed to get it down the road, lemme know...

I believe that's what this one is, it's from an 86 IIRC. However I may take you up on that, my buddy's '90 seems to be doing the same thing in 4wd. He wants to get it fixed before WF but has severe motivation problems, so if he doesn't do anything about it before then I'd be willing to buy it off you.

Aight, Let me know, I plan at stopping at the 'rents Thursday morning on the way down (its there) so just let me know b4 March 3rd and I can bring it along.

just make out with him and get it over with.

I was about to knock his teeth through the back of his head! The dude is creepy and must be keeping tabs on the people on my line because he keeps coming by and telling my friend her ass looks nice and all kinds of shit. The problem should cease now! :D
