Badlands National Park, Black Hills, Devil's Tower, Bighorn Mountains, Beartooth Pass, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and a few other national forests that happened to be along the drive. One night in the jeep, 8 nights in my tent. Unfortunately I had to come back to civilization.
 
I love my Job. Turned in a work request for a toolmaker at 2:47pm, 5 and a half hours later i ask my boss to go see what the deal was. Apparently my work request never made it to him. Good thing I get paid by the hour and not the part. :D It was ready to go at 9 but the machine it feeds is out of parts. so I will start it in 3 hours!

Been to most of those places, some more than once, wish I could be at any of them right now. The natural beauty of our country is amazing, it is sad that so many that live here never get to see much of it.

So, last week sometime, I tried to upload some pics from a day at the dragstrip with some old friends. Comcast seemed to be kinda slow, but I thought the pics would upload eventually. Nope, didn't happen, and since then my internet has been ranging from fast as ever to Morse code telegraph slowness. 45 minutes on the phone the other day trying all kinds of dumbass shit and all I got was "the modem may be bad" . Went to the Comcast store to pick up one of their rental modems and the guy informs that since we also have their phone service we don't need a modem, and we can get a wireless router for free! Why didn't the guy I talked to know this, especially after I gave him our phone # for the account? Hooked up the router and a new USB wireless doohickey for the desktop today, and could not access the internet. Another hour on the phone and all I have now is the laptop hooked up directly to the phone modem thingy. And that won't even let me connect to comcast to check my email.... :gonnablow

thats for sure i want to see all of this stuff but unfortunately i got to work every day 7-5 just to bring home enough cash to make it tiil the next week
i figure im still sorta young and i got the having kids thing out the way early so in a couple years when the new baby is old enough to remember our vacations im gonna do 2 week long road trips with the family and see the country

are those the new ones with the liquid cooled blower? we saw the first one at shelby america when we took the factory tour in vegas.... sexy cars indeed

here some pictures of our talking machine for nate...

its a 1946 zenith record player/ radio with the auto record changing system.... just got it back from the resto guy today, he replaced all the wiring and cleaned it up, surprisingly all the tubes were in great shape and are still in it now, its neat all the little lights and doodads work like it was new.

Three of my tires were leaking, one of them bad enough that 4 days in I swapped on my spare, which is not exactly round, so that slowed me down a little. The synchro on second gear doesn't seem to be working all the time either. And my cooling is not working great, it kept trying to overheat on me, especially as soon as I crossed into Arizona. But otherwise everything held together just fine.

And yes, I did still have a little Haspin mud hanging on to contaminate Nevada.
