Mom finally got fed up with the dial up connection. Neighbor had a verizon wireless card and let us try it. Worked great so she went and got one. We only have two bars of signal here but its still ten times faster than dial up.

Looks like it should be 3G digital coverage. You'll get spoiled, especially when you realize that you can use it somewhere other than home.

the unthinkable happened tonight..my rig is off the jack stands for the first time in about 4 months and drove it out of the shop under its own power....will the wonders ever cease????

Finally started the tear down on my rear D44 project. Got gears and a brand new Detroit Locker waiting to be stuffed in it. Still need to pick up new brake parts including cylinders and all new lines. Still need to think about what I'm gonna do about shock mounts. I've got the MORE low profile shock mounts on my running 8.25, and I may just go the same route.

Let me know when you're working on it and I might be able to come over an lend a hand... Or at least make dumb suggestions while leaning against it and drinking a beer...

<chuckle> At least the next 2 weekends, I'll be out there at least for a little bit. Gonna try to get it down in time to make a run up to da Keweenaw for a shakedown run over Labor Day weekend.

Well maybe I'll get a hold of ya after MO... Who knows you might even need to help me out if I get any damage... ;)

Storms that came through last night made the humidity off the charts... I spent the night going to all the suites that smoke detectors were going off in and replacing them...

School doesn't have the common sense to replace all the faulty detectors at once so we can only do it as they go off...

I got lucky here. While it did rain overnight, the unpleasantness went both north and south of us. No debate on the humidity, though. 84 degrees early in the afternoon with a a 78 degree dewpoint.

I was outside changing the tires and rims on my trailer and I soaked through all my clothes and could not keep my glasses on my face....it was a good series of storms first thing this morning and I had to shower in the dark since the power was out.....would have been a great day to sleep in.

The day has come...heading to the hospital in less than an hour...tonsils coming out.

mac 'first time under and a bit nervous' gyvr

when they put me under the operating table was heated..... they said they had to pry me out of the fetal position it was so comfy

going under is a little strange... when I had my wisdom teeth out they knocked me out good. Handed me the TV remote, said to pick whatever channel I wanted, I ended up watching Man Vs Wild. The guy had just finished roasting a rabbit over a fire and my last thoughts before going under were "damn that looks real tasty... CRAP! I'm not gonna be able to eat anything like that for a week! :smsoap:" and then I woke up with a lot of blood and crunchy tooth dust in my mouth, along with huge wads of gauze. Sent some of the most confused, rambling, disoriented text messages in history to my friends in the next 15 minutes...

I had surgery on my neck quite a few years ago. I don't know what they used to sedate me, but it was fawking awesome! I told my mom Jerry Garcia was playing me a song in my head, chatted up the nurse about Gilligan's Island and lauged hysterically at a plain white brick wall. Post surgery in the recovery room I flirted with a girl in another bed and told the doc he could call me any time he needed more practice.
