Important

That's something I'd blame on the auto-lockers. My XJ w/ 33x12.50 MT/Rs (siped) and limited slips fore & aft handles snow nicely (or did handle anyway, it hasn't seen snow in 5 years.)

That's another project for warm weather, rebuild the limited slip rear-end in the CTD. It's now effectively an open diff, and I'm missing the limited right now. And no, I'm not going to stuff a Detroit in it.

Yeah, that's what I think too. It was better before the front Aussie.

My Chevy has the RPO code for a GovLock, but it's worn out also.

I've got a rear D44 in the garage now, with plans to throw a full Detroit in it. Not sure how much polish I'm gonna put on the front Turdy, if I find a good front D44,l I'd just love to throw a selectable locker in front. Of course, 4.88 gears would be nice....

Drove my pile with an Aussie up front last night and this morning in the snow. I don't understand why you wouldn't like the performance. If you're on MTs, that I get. I guess it's just my street tires, but that thing just pulls through the snow. It's all $4!+ and get!

I agree, I love my aussie in the snow with my MTs. I feel like i have more control of the front end. I'll have to see what its like having lunchbox lockers front and rear though in a week or so

I run Powertrax lockers front and rear in my XJ and they are fine, even running claws I have no complaints..but again, it is a trail rig that I may drive to work a few times a month.

I am loving my new Mickey Thompson ATZ's on teh tow rig in this snow...I got the 4 patch design and they hook up well...way beyond my expectations.

anybody else feel that earthquake?
it felt like a tree limb hit my house!!

Was at the site in Austin, MN.....heard a LOUD bang about 4, like something fell. That was about it.

5 hours last night.....way to long of a day. Tonight should go better, just need to get to bed early.

The dog acted weird last night, kind of when it's going to storm. When the bed shook and woke me up last night I thought the dog was shaking. It didn't enter my mind that the bed was shaking way more than the dog could do. I found out this morning that it really was an earthquake. My parents live in Naperville, they said that it felt like a snow plow hit their house.

Well Everybody, My grandpa checked out yesterday morning. He's been fighting cancer off and on for about 3 years. It finally made it to his spine and that was it he couldn't take it anymore. Funny story that goes along with it though! He died around 9am yesterday. All this snow made the creek you have to cross almost impassable. From what I gather my uncle had to hook his tractor to the hearse and drag it across the creek. then once they got it over there it got buried in snow and had to be dug out. Its about an hour drive from here(where he is being buried) to his place. They got here about 9 o'clock last night. I guess he wanted to spend one more day at the farm? :dunno: They could have used the truck to get him across the creek but i'm not sure why they didn't.

Sorry to hear about your loss Aaron, but on the bright side he left ya with some good memories and a good story to tell as well!

Yeah, that he did. I was already at peace with it since its been a couple weeks since they sent him home to die. Funeral is Friday so it will be good to see some family i haven't seen in a while.

Thanks Sue! Yeah, well some of us are spread throughout Indiana but some like my mom live in other states. My family has had some quarrels like any other but some people are mad for stupid things and Blah blah blah. Its not like we didn't know it wasn't coming so Quite a few have at least went and talked with him. Oh well, can't change the past!
