Important

Snow has been coming down here most of the morning since the whee hours. We're antcipating a lot more (weatherman's call, what do they know) and I would imagine we may be sent home early. I know one thing, if we get cancelled tomorrow, I'm going drift busting.

90 minute commute this morning, normally, it's just under an hour.

Not sure what's happening here in MN, but the roads have not been maintained as well as the prior 3 winters I've been here.

Edit: 5-7" of snow since Sunday afternoon, another inch or two predicted for this morning.
Budget cuts. they dont even plow the side roads here until it is done snowing.

same here. the city wont plow out of city limits until the snow has stopped. while IU will send out the plows in full force if there is a flake of snow. Oh yeah, and the plow trucks on campus are 2010 Chevy Suburbans.

thats not bad at all. i just need to find someone with a sam's club membership lol

You're already spending that much, Why spend 40 more bucks! :D

My first snow recovery ever in the XJ this morning, so that was fun. My neighbor slid her 2WD Tahoe into the ditch in her front yard and dug a muddy rut. Had to do a side pull uphill to keep her off the brick mailbox. I had my doubts, but it dug right in and out she came. A bystander in a Silverado Z71 looked disappointed that he didn't get there first :D

I haven't even left the Apt today! No recoveries for me unless my brother spins the Honda again! :D

My XJ flat out sucks in the snow. I don't know if it the combo of the BFG MTs and being auto-locked f/r or what, but my wife's Durango with ATs and a worn out limited slip is 100x better. Stupid thing just pushes through corners in 4WD.

That's something I'd blame on the auto-lockers. My XJ w/ 33x12.50 MT/Rs (siped) and limited slips fore & aft handles snow nicely (or did handle anyway, it hasn't seen snow in 5 years.)

That's another project for warm weather, rebuild the limited slip rear-end in the CTD. It's now effectively an open diff, and I'm missing the limited right now. And no, I'm not going to stuff a Detroit in it.

The real question here is the hotness of said neighbor and the payment if any?? :D

not recently...but maybe wifey was :D

I was going to snap a pic of the new shoes but the camera was dead that I had in the shop. Might get some in the next few days...lots of snow out there now and it is 7 degrees...so pics are not on the top of my priority list :D

Our main roads are clear, but the side streets and country roads have a good coat on them. I love driving sideways!
