Getting ready to take 3 ASE Tests at 6:45. Structural Analysis, Nonstructural Analysis, and Painting and Refininshing.

I think I got a perfect on my Parts Specialist test.

I have all of my recerts to get back my master certification next Thursday. Not looking forward to that, at least the recertification tests are shorter.

Anyone want to get together for a study group?

Had the new dog with me today. I have to work the park next weekend so I wanted to start getting her used to riding in the jeep. Took a fairly short 45 min trip and stopped at an old job to say hey to some friends. Got back on the highway to head home and then the smell hits me and my daughter. The dog crapped in the back of the jeep.

Even with the windows down my 16mth old daughter had the worst look I have ever seen on her face and had both hands trying to cover her eyes. I was gagging going 75mph in traffic. Eyes started watering. It was horrible. My wife's 2 day old margarita vomit didn't smell this bad.

And to make it better shortly after that she decided that it would be a good idea to try and look out the drivers side window. Just in case you were wondering it's hard to do 75mph in traffic with a 160lb mastiff stepping on your junk and blocking pretty much the whole windshield. I'm starting to reconsider my big furry jeepin buddy.

I dont think I did very well on them. I think I did aright on the painting but the other two were kind of difficult for me.
I cant even get certified yet. I would need another year of work experience to get the paper because I only have 2 years of a trade school on my record. 2 years of school = 1 year of work experience.

I could have taken the Parts Specialist test for Advance but I didnt bother with it. I didnt want to take 4 tests in one sitting.

I can't belive how well Ginger (2yr old) has taken to our family. Her previous owners kept her outside so there are some manners we have to work on but she is picking up on things very quickly.

Our biggest complaint was she would almost bowl you over on the way out the door to go outside. So we are working on getting her to let everybody else out before she goes out the door. In 3 days it aint perfect but at least my wife can take her out now.

i tried to cook a ham last week and made it well done today my 4 yr old APBT got a 7 lb treat i took some pics still have to upload

What all did you get Nick? The yards here are full of them. I've seen a couple so nice that I'd love to buy them and put a new engine in them. Correct me if I'm wrong though, you're not allowed to buy C4C cars? Or the titles are destroyed so you can't ever register them again? Pretty sure I read that. Total BS, if you can't buy or register them again, why the hell did they have to destroy the engines?


Took the XJ to the scrapyard yesterday Got $43 for it which was more than I expected (I just wanted the thing gone). Came up with an interesting way to load it on the trailer, I built a wood frame under it so it wouldn't scratch my trailer up, then took the axles out, then winched it onto the trailer. I may start making these and selling them as "wooden frame stiffeners." They will be a great complement to my wood bumpers.

Haven't found myself a ZJ yet, but I did run across a 92 Accord for $300, turned out to be about 10 houses down from me. Needs brakes but I'm working on that now. Finally I'll have a DD that gets better than 14mpg...

Damn Brad you stripped that thing down Quick! Can't go wrong with a 92 Accord either my brother neglected his and it still made it to 263k before the trans went.

I scrapped my 93 xj Friday. Only the motor, transmission, and the shell went. I got $97.00 at $95.00 a ton. It weighed just over 2000lbs.

I remember a year ago I was getting about $190.00 a ton for scrap. I don't think I will be seeing those numbers anytime soon. I have about 3500lbs. of scrap in the back yard and the back of the comanche and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Not until prices go up a little or I am flat broke.
