People in IL are so worried they will stop if a school bus is letting off kids 4 blocks away.

I got a ****ing 50 dollar ticket for no brake light the other day. That's a kick in the nuts, here is just charged you 50 bucks for telling you about your light out. I could have lied and told him even if didn't know, maybe he would have let me off. But I chose to tell the truth, I left work on Friday and a couple worker told me it was out. Stoped and bought a light on the way home. Got stopped the next morning, I was just waiting to change it in the daylight. Kinda pissy on that one.
 
Well looks like the anti theft system in EX is what is causing my problems. Looks like it's going into the dealer today to get fixed. That will be a nice big bill.

i got pulled over in a similar fashion. headlight blew on my old civic just as it was getting dark out. was passing an autozone so i figured i would run in quick and grab a new bulb. was literally 3 minutes from home when i got pulled over. showed the cop the bulb and receipt and he still gave me a fix it ticket.
 
Wife was pulled over last summer for going 5 over the speed limit. Highway patrol was a young guy trying to be a hero. She admitted that she was going possibly a little fast, but less than 5mph she thought. He did not have it on radar and was then a dick about her license plate being out of date, until she corrected him and told him it was a 1 yr heavy truck plate and it was July of 2016 and it expired in December 2016. He was embarrassed and gave her a warning and left. He made up for it later when he pulled her dad over that same day and gave him a ticket :D
 
Everyone I pull over is getting the headlight, brake light, renewing the plate, license, their speedometer, you name it, all fixed tomorrow...it's amazing.

Oh and in Indiana, unless there is a fixed median you have to stop for the school bus on a 4 lane road.

Any road with a median or turning lane doesn't require stopping in NC. The bus driver is not allowed to let the kids cross traffic. They're also not allowed to walk down the highway to another house, so the buses stop at every driveway.
 
Have a guy willing to trade a 1970 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4 roller, rust free as can be from southern Missouri for my old Honda Rancher chore atv. Going to look at it in person Sunday. Case n I are thinking either another ls swap or maybe stuff this 12v Cummins in it
. It will be his driver when he turns 16.
 
Works so slow they instituted a new policy that we can leave whenever we want to.Most nights I go in and only have about 6hrs of work. Been like this sense November, thinking it's time to weigh my options.

LS is what I'm leaning towards personally bc I have already done that swap with success. This 12v Cummins has an unknown history when I picked it up, so it could be thousands in rebuild. I have a line on an early 2000's tahoe 4wd that was a light roll. That is the same motor I used last time to swap with also. Easy button indeed. I can't imagine that pulling the motor to tcase and sitting it over will be any too much work, just getting linkages made up will be a project.
 
I had a 72 GMC short bed 4x4 when I was in high school. I wrecked it and wish I had another one.

Early Gm was passenger drop front axle new Gm is drivers so you'll have to sort out a transfer case.

Not that fabrication isn't fun, but because the 67-72 is so popular, you know that the conversion parts are all available. Mounts, tranny crossmember, brackets.

And choo choo. Nothing says I love you son like two turbos on your v8.
