To all the CIM Operators out there:
We have a Haas CNC Mill in our Metals/welding shop. Our machine is just 3-axis and has a 10-tool holder. Does anyone have some G-code programs that we could use to show our students how it works? Me and the metals instructor have spent about 2 months getting the thing operational (last guy didn't use it at all and it sat ~3 years). We're just looking for a program that might have 2-4+ tool changes to make something, anything... Our G-coding skills are not the greatest and we'd like to just have something to demo for the students while we self-teach ourselves...
I still have like 3 weeks saved up but I'm Saving that for WF, a silver lake trip, and Harlan.
Speaking of silver lake, when does it get warm enough to swim in?
This weekend there is a huge mud event by me. The trucks with tractor tires were rolling in this morning. The great debate is do I go into work and make $ or do I fill a cooler and go watch them break stuff....

Question for y'all. I'm on my way to NC. When I hit Indy I can take either 75 to Rt 34 to 64 or take 65 to 64 thru Lexington or some convoluted route through Cincy. I'll need a route where I can find a decent place to sleep if I can't make it to Charleston tonight. I have about an hour and a half till I hit Indy. Any suggestions?
65 to 64 will bring you right past my house. Louisville traffic shouldn't be an issue this late. It's kind of a pain in the ass when pulling a trailer though. If you're coming back through Sunday I should have time to grab some grub.
If I'm pulling good time, I'd be down for some grub! About an hour out from Louisville now. Making ok time so far, but dang the time change sucks.

I'm sure you could have hopped in the MacTruck and put your bike between the jeeps!
Stay on the interstate. The other route through the mountains will take you through a lot of small towns.
There's multiple truck stops and exits between Louisville and Charleston on 64. Be careful after charleston on 77, there's no gas stops until you get to the beckley service area (where you'll get raped for gas) or down to princeton at exit 9. If you can swing it, I would fill up before you get into Charleston and make your way to Wytheville, VA, where the gas is the cheapest. That puts you about 40 miles from the NC line.
