Important

You would have to know more than I do about diesels than I do to mess with it.

Price out the parts to fix it (including a new head) and a replacement motor. Mercedes replacement parts aren't usually easy to find. I think he would have a hard time getting what he wants out of it...would be a cool jeep if it was running right

Yeah. I am worried about it being a cracked head more than a head gasket. he has had it for sale for ever.

I am eyeballing a 1997 RHD near me right now at a good price. Otherwise there is a 1996 2dr for an ok price as well. I like 4dr better but I need to get an xj again. ZJ's just arent the same. And I want to get rid of my car, so if I decide to, I'll put it up on MWC sale area.

Ryan, you still have a washer bottle? Since I'm going to keep this POS, it might was well be capable of washing windows on command ;)

Yes. I still have it. I can't find a box it fits in and I REALLY hate buying boxes or paying more for shipping than necessary because of a wrong sized box. It has your name on it though.

I bought another 99 that has a bad motor. It has one too.

Re: Re: Important

Need u-bolts for a 8.25, where's the best place to buy?. I'm getting rid of the blocks in the wife's jeep and building a bastard pack.

I have mine bent at the local big truck parts store. Cheapest place I've found.

I have not heard from th if he's still wanting those springs, so if he doesn't want them they're yours.

yep... might even have em on the shelf. 3" axle tube diameter, stock bolts are 1/2, m12, 9/16, or something, I forget. I'd go 5/8 if you are making or buying new leaf plates anyways, I have stretched stockers and stock replacements but never stretched a 5/8 Ubolt.

my buddy always bent them at the truck shop for me for $2.50...but i was special :) i think they charged $8 a piece to non special people

he did let me know when i got my box of parts last time that if i paid for shipping, he would be happy to send me whatever i needed!

They're a great motor. Until you over heat them and the drop a valve seat.

I might be looking at one today. I have the guy to $500 said it runs really rough. I really hope it didn't drop a valve so it's a quick flip. Got my fingers crossed

We usually get them in the shop that the rockers are out from under the cams due to poor oiling. Usually they are sludged real bad.

Ruffstuff.

Spent the weekend down at home for a wedding. Got good and lit. Bride and groom made the whole bridal party give a short speech, thanks! Didn't expect it.

Jeep got a solid 20mpg there and back, even with an hour and a half of stop and go on 294 Thursday afternoon.

Got to spend time with dad on Father's Day and made it home in time to give my little guy some goodnight hugs and kisses.

It was good to eat Wooden Peel pizza and go to Steak & Shake again.

Hooked up with K5Matt for lunch Friday. Trixie picked up the steel winch cable from my dad's place. I was off for the rehearsal. Dad said she's hot.

Thanks again for the cable josh. And tell your dad thanks for the compliment on Trixie.
No problem! Glad I could unload it. Hope it works out for you. And I will.
