Important

Well, replaced the adjusters on my drums earlier. Now it won't feel like I'm dying at Mission Impossible this weekend!

lock out tag out, learn it, love it, LIVE by it.

Once maintenance shows up I step away unless they need me to help. Glad our maintenance guys take LOTO seriously.

right on brother, my motto, never leave home with out it.

The school district that I work for doesn't do it yet, but most of the others have ipads or laptops for all of the kids and are phasing out text books. As you would guess, many are getting lost, stolen or trashed.

mac 'we had a commodore 64 with Oregon trail' gyvr

There is serious talk of doing that system wide here. Now, according to statistics used to justify after school meals, 60% of the kids in MSN schools are poor. What parent is going to want to trade free books for a $500 iPad? My guess is the 60% who can't afford one, but will get it free from the School.

In case you didn't read between the lines, it is being contemplated that kids in academic programs get fed after 5pm. That means the schools will service Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. I'm waiting for the beds to be installed and Nannies to be hired so we can take over the entire parenting process.

When I was in HS, we had (1) TTY with a modem link to the UW and the school district rented time on a Unix machine running Basic. There was no Oregon Trail. We wrote our own games, or copied them out of a book and adapted them to the version of Basic the machine was running. I think we learned more that way.

Unfortunately, I can't carry it at work like you(lucky bastard) so it stays locked in my Jeep at work.

That has changed, the boss said he doesn't think it's profressional if a customer see's it under my shirt, so it gets put in my tool box at work, but it's still loaded & ready.
