Important

I worked Ks Rocks this weekend and was in the middle of my closing routine about 4 today as a guy and his kid come walking out of the trails. He tells me his sami is high centered and possibly has a broken axle. As he is walking by the office he says I guess I'm leaving it and you can have it. I told him he could take his truck and trailer down and unstuck it. About an hour later he comes driving by the office without a sami on the trailer and yells as he's going by, I gave to the people that helped me, I don't have time for this shit....

A few mins later the last people in the park come pulling up in the Sami, their TJ and CJ. He honest to god gave it to them and his number to get the title. He bought it the day before for 1500. It was in pretty good shape too, I'm bummed I couldn't go and help him or I would have had a new toy.

I keep telling her we need to get divorced so we can get goberment aid but she won't participate....

I learned early on in this pregnancy that instead of doing right and getting married we should've had the child before getting married and it would've been a bunch cheaper...our country is screwed...

In your house?

My wife talked about doing that.

Lol. That was basically my response. I can deal with my kid being a hellion. But not other peoples.

Yes, in our house. The tax write-offs paid for the van we had at the time and so remodeling on that house.

The kids are not the problem. They are generally a product of their environment. If the kids are given a set of expectations, they will generally meet them if they know them. The parents are the issue....

Pool, Climbing wall, rope course, health-club quality equipment and lots of it. AC in the whole high school, elevators, video information kiosks all over....etc.

Rev

The pool, climbing wall, rope course I can understand, part of PE.

The health club quality equipment seems to be an effort by schools to train high quality Football and Volleyball Teams for competition. Something got lost in the mix there, and the Parents are at fault for this decision. Do we train students to be better Citizens though Sports, or is excellence in Sports the end game?

AC is the school is nice, and it seems to me that it is a side affect of the new HVAC systems. I have been told that it is best to close off all outside air, and regulate the temp and humidity with one set of systems. They say it is more efficient... It sure does seem less efficient than a plain jane boiler system with radiators that is only used in the dead of winter ;)

Video Kiosks... Cool! Better way to communicate with Students!

Elevators... I'm seeing that more on remodels and new schools. With the number of physically disadvantaged kids in school, a 2 story school can't be without a lift anymore. I know, it seems like a luxury.

A couple of years ago they tried to do a $500 million levy to upgrade all the schools in one of the districts here. They were going to convert all the schools over to new this and new that with a/c and even building a new school. That didn't pass. They did pass a $150 million recently that has a lot less to offer but will do some upgrades. Apparently the voters spoke on that issue.

The elevators here are employee only or for students with a handicap. The students that need the elevator have a key fob so not anyone can ride.

The school district that I work for doesn't do it yet, but most of the others have ipads or laptops for all of the kids and are phasing out text books. As you would guess, many are getting lost, stolen or trashed.

Well, I thought I would have big news to share with everyone today about Camille and I getting approved for adoption, but it fell through when they asked for preference and I said an 18 year old Polynisian girl.......

the ipad textbooks are a clusterf***k..... my old private highschool was the first in the nation to require them as part of school supplies. My cousin is a sophomore this year, when they implemented it last fall and all the students showed up the network traffic crashed the entire school server system. No textbooks for a week and a half, they didnt stock any backups incase of failure. You had to buy one for 400 or lease one for the year for 250....Steve Jobs is smiling from the grave on that one.

I love technology but shoving it where it doesnt go only hinders the process.

Our district is in the process of going 'text-book-less'... They traded PC laptops for MacBook Pros.... Only problem is All the Tech Ed departments and classes utilize programs that only work on PCs... I have my macbook with Bootcamp and Windows 7 on it, but the software still thinks its a Mac...

Plus they don't cooperate with the Projectors/smartboards. If you're running on the Mac OS, its fine, but for us we run Windows that converts to the Mac ports, which then has to convert back to Windows for the projector, which does't accept it cause the encryption is messed up from going through the mac side.

I still have my PC laptop and told administration they'll have to pry it from my hands before I give it up...

classic example of administrators getting sold on a product and then not consulting the IT people before they mandate it's adoption.

Who is the sponser/what is the link to the person that makes the HD battery cables sets?

Decided this thing needs new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, battery, and battery cables...

My battery cables and connectors are in pretty bad shape...
