Happy hour starting early or running late on the farm? :D

Had a interesting weekend. Wheeled for 20 minutes and toasted my short side shaft / u joint. So I got drunked! Got a baby sitter for last night so we could both get drinker. Then Lexis sister decided she was going ti go into labor. So I slept at the hospital and she still hasn't had the damn kid. This morning I drove all the way back to camp to tear down in the rain and hale. Almost lost my tire on the way home because I forgot to tighten lug nuts (f you Budweiser). Did I mention I left my trail tools at home for more room for camping gear?

K "need full widths, a tow rig, and to drink the 1/5 of jager I bought and didn't open last night!" Man

hay people here, question for ya, so im building this stone wall fire pit for my back yard, and warping a mulch circle around it so it looks something like this

DSCN2102.jpg

my question is do i really have to dig up all the grass where the mulch is going to lay? my circle is 18ft wide and i was out there for around an hour and barely put a dent in pulling up all the sod...

cant i just lay the barrier on top of the grass and mulch on top of the barrier and call it one???

Nah, just start a huge bonfire on the site where your fire pit will be. The grass will burn away :D

I Personally would not put chipped flammable materials around a fire pit, but what do I know.

the grass will grow through, it will look good for about a year or so.

Having just done a 20 ft diameter for the pool...

Went from grass to ready for sand in an hour...

Yeah, sod-cutter is the way to go. Takes almost all the effort out of it.

I'd probably go with pea gravel around a fire pit.

bad night last night...was awakened from a margarita induced fog 3 or 4 times by the wifes sister calling. she has been worried that her husband has been cheating on her...last night he left his phone out and a sh*tstorm hit the fan. her sister gets a little annoying sometimes, but never in a million years would i wish something like this on someone who is family. unfortunately she lives in tampa fl so my wife couldn't go to her...i guess fortunately for her husband he lives in tampa so i couldn't get to him. i don't tolerate bs like that very much...especially after a night of drinking

Got the header installed on the Heep last night, had to play with the kick down cable adjustment cause the shifting was all over the palce, also threw some codes, but I left my scanner at work... runs good now though...

Future niece's baptism this morning, now chilling at her sisters house with her family... Its nice having a weekend, let along 3 days in a row off, from both jobs. God I miss being able to relax like this....

god, I swear all some of you folks do is drink, then whine about stuff that happens while you are drunk. It's like Housewives of (pick the area).

Austin, I hope you have good luck with the header. My experience with them tells me that I don't think headers are worth the bother without doing something to the entire engine along the way. The OEM exhaust is so good compared to an old log manifold that it just doesn't justify the cost or headache. A good gasket match and opening up and smoothing the ports will do more than any bolt on header.

My old manifold was cracked into 3 pieces, my mpg's were junk, so I got the APN which is not much more expensive than the stock manifold... I cleaned the Intake Manifold, and head very well, I will do some machine work when I have the time / make it into a stroker...

For now, my next feat is Long Arms...

Sitting in a hot dark camper. We were struck by lightning last night and slowly every thing electrical is dying. No A/C, no TV, no microwave, no lights, no fans to circulate air. It is over 90* at 10:00 pm. Going to be a long night.
I wonder how I am going to get it home, all of the stabilizer jacks are electric.
