ahhhh, the ol' $10 switch move.....works everytime. Brian, I like your style bud.

switches are free, didn't your dad ever have you go cut one?

We live inside the city limits, all they will do for us is adjust our sewage.

On a side note went to test the pump since its almost full, flip the switch and nothing (I thought of course the pump is dead now). Turns out power is not getting to the pump so I will have to replace the switch tomorrow. Hot wired the pump with a heavy duty extension cord......my macgyverin turned the wife on a little.

To finish level the sand I made this...thought it was a cool macyverin as hobag calls it...yes that's the skimmer handle.

I fired up my pump for this pool...and it didn't work either...so I'll see if I get it going tomorrow...

<expletive deleted> Got an unpleasant phone call way too early this morning, a good friend's mother passed last night rather unexpectedly. It's gonna be a long week.

Sorry to hear that Jeff.

On a brighter side my pool is 1" from being full, pump is circulating chemicals are perfect.

not so bright side water is 70 degrees, thinking about filling the 100# tank and turning on the heater.

Need to finish my chicken coop, then I get to setup a 27' round pool that is 2 years old. Previous owner paid over $6600 for it including installation. I paid $600 for it. The liner had ripped and flooded out her basement this past spring and she wanted it gone. Craigslist rocks.

My well is going to get a work out at 16,750 gallons not including the expandable liner. I'd grab our tanker at the fire department to fill it but we have tank saver in them (glorified oil). May grab the forestry truck as the pumper on the truck could push water 1/2 mile in 2" line. Pike river is 1/4 mile.

That sucks, Jeff. I've been there myself. Sending good vibes.

We got ours out after being stored for two years, and the F-ing mice got into it and chewed several holes in it. We only had it up for one summer! I bought it used for $75 at two years old so I guess I'm not to pissed. I need to look into patches I may be able to fix it not sure yet.

I like how you have that set up though. Is that just sand or a pad?

The camper was hit bu lightning last night.
We were asleep and about 4:30 there was a crack, it was the loudest thunder I have ever heard!
We both sat up and the dogs started clawing at the bedroom door.
I let them in and they jumped on the bed and were shaking in fear.
The power was out when we woke up so I took the dogs out for a walk but I noticed other people had power.
I went to the campground electric box and the breakers were tripped.
I flipped them on and the power came back on.
Then I noticed the end of the dog tie cable lying on the ground.
I picked it up and it was rusted, like it had been burnt.
The other end was under the camper right next to the front jack where I had hooked it to yesterday afternoon.
There was a burn mark going around the jack leg where the cable had been tied!
The AM/FM radio is toast, and so is the TV.
And to make it worse, a tree limb must have come down and tore the rubber roof liner.
There is a gouge in it I will have to patch now.

Spending the day to lazily replace my exhaust header... Nothing else to do, rainy, take breaks to drink whenever I want...

I love it...

Next step: Grinding the intake runners to fit the header...

Never mind on the sand Q. I see it explained now. For some reason my browser didn't go to the first unread post the first time around?

Sounds like your dogs were lucky!!!

The pool was up to 80 today...

I got in it for about 10 mins before I had to get ready for work.

I bought the 100#s of propane and hooked it up to the heater and the regulator on the heater froze up. So I am trying to decide on try to fix it or wait for mother nature to heat pool. Leaning towards mother nature.

The soon to be inlaws said we can have their pool whenever we want. Its a 26 foot above ground. They put a liner in it two years ago and then it hasnt been set up since. Right now its a large frog pond.
Ill get it eventually. Its not really on the priorities list.
