The problem there is you dont know how to start a fire...

Take a couple inches of snow, and a house that faces the west and receive 2 feet of snow in front of my garage door. Spent 30 minutes shoveling and finally used the new-to-me ZJ (that is 2wd until I get a new front axle) to attempt to push the rest of it out of the way. Tired of winter already.

Also I've been fighting issues on Molly's car, typical GM 3.4L shenanigans. It was losing coolant so I changed lower intake gaskets. I still smell coolant when it's running but have no visible leaks anywhere. I'm regretting not just doing head gaskets while I was at it. Additionally there's a lifter tick I can't seem to get rid of. I'm supposed to meet someone Saturday about buying it but I don't think I can sell it in good conscience...

But if anyone here's interested, 2001 Alero, great shape, only driven to church on Sundays, etc...

Brown Santa is on vacation, so USPS filled in.

Now to figure how to install the wiring harness, found this, but wiring is my weak suite.

Yep. The 99 Montana I bought Kim is showing typical 3.4 shenanigans as well. When it finally warms up outside (and I have the ZJ DD'able) it's getting torn down to the block and redone with HGs and Permadry intake gaskets. After 196k it's expected. I knew going in I would have to do it, but I've had close to a dozen 3400s apart over the last couple years at the shop, so I'm fairly familiar. That and I wouldn't wish a Dodge or Ford minivan on anyone.

No offense, but Aleros were junk new on the lot.

How much would you charge to do that stuff to my moms van (2000 Montana) maybe this summer? I know it is leaking a bit of coolant, but not bad. Her van just had a used transmission put in it after the one that was in it for 110k decided to not shift out of first anymore. I love the van for road trips since it is so long, you can get six adults in it and luggage. Now if I had the time I would attempt to fix the fuel gauge. It is not reading right after a little under 1/2 a tank. It is very typical and the only ways to fix it is to replace the whole fuel sending unit or take the fuel sending unit out and buy parts to replace the bad part (http://www.buickforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22198 link contains video to show how it is done).

I'll PM you later.

I am better now after a cup of coffee.
Thanks for asking.....

I am so excited, I get to snow blow my driveway again. I hope I don't wake up my 20 something kids that are sound asleep.

Shouldn't the 20 something kids be shoveling the snow? You know, to save gas money and wear and tear on the snowblower?

I keep telling him road flares fix things, permanently.

I call bullshit!

you say USPS shipped those, and then post pictures of intact H4 housings?

We've had better luck with USPS than UPS as of late. UPS delivered a reboxed order of HDD's and mainboards, every single vbox inside the new box was soaking wet, like it had sat outside over the holiday weekend. They just stuck it all in a new box and deliuvered it like that. Thanks UPS!

at least the distributor took care of it and overnighted us new parts.

odd. I've always had pretty good luck with UPS around here. FedEx on the other hand... twice now they have received a shipment from the sender well before their deadline, listed it as overnight service early AM delivery (accurate), status: ON TIME, with an expected delivery of 2 days later, then delivered it late on the second day. Sorry guys, it's one or the other.

So I stopped giving them any business, UPS and USPS only now.

WOW, having a reaction between the two meds the doc put me on...I feel like my chest is going to explode...and I am VERY alert! Where are my pants??......

Talked to the medic at work today and i now get to park in the gated part of the lot by the door. I don't ask for much but that helps me a lot because its hard for me to get around in snow. It'll also be nice not having to worry about driving the jeep to work with the doors off this spring/summer. :D
