yep, well aware. Hind site is 20/20. Should have traded kman for his bonnie, even with giving him $1k with the jeep I would be up another $3k. Should have never got a car from a kid. Should never have gotten a car that needed "wth little bit of work". I can go on for hours. The Monte is nearly new now.
Anyone want to give me $7k for it? I wouldn't be making a penny.

My smart purchase was my XJ, a year and a half after purchasing it, a part went bad for the third time and I said f it. Sold that piece of crap GM N body.

dont feel too bad...the turbo exploded in the wifes subaru the week after we bought it. damage to the tune of $2900 for oil system repairs, intake and exhaust repairs. not to mention the new turbo. forutnately as a good faith gesture, subaru of america gave us $1000 towards the repair, even though the car was bought used and out of warranty...
3 years later and 60k miles, runs like a champ and i wouldn't trade that car for the world.

Let me guess its after 2005? Subaru takes care of their customers though. A guy I work with has had several and they've replaced parts at no cost even after the warranty was up.
There is a kit to add a filter to the turbo to keep it from being eaten.

Ha, just made a post on another forum about paddling. Looking forward to a paddle I didn't get to do last year. Cagles Mill Lake to Cataract Falls. When the paddle was supposed to happen, the lake was too high and there were no lower falls. If a friend of mine is off this year when that paddle happens, plan on borrowing another friends tandem kayak and have her go with me. She has never been kayaking.

Cataract Falls is very nice. Took a day trip there a couple years ago while camping at Lieber SRA. Took the kids and dogs to the river below the falls and let them play for hours.

yup it was an 05 in fact...they had a lot of oil issues. i will buy a subie in the future, but probably not one with a turbo

Their fine once you put that filter on the turbo. Mine is NA nut its the early 2.5 with shitty HG's!
