Important

All of a sudden Jeepforum is blocked at work now for some reason, crap.
No real big loss there...all the best info is here. :shhh:.

Oh, by the way. Does anyone have a BlackBerry Curve 9300? What, if any kinds of cases or screen protectors do you use? Otter Box seems to be a tough route to go.

DLP? I don't think so, it's still film based, with a single light source. One of the "How It's Made" shows had a segment on IMAX projectors a couple of years ago, some interesting lenses and film motion in there.

been busy so i didn't see this...yes the dome screens are still film based and not digital. also they are not 3d...yet, though IMAX tells us its coming. our projector is 15,000 watts of power from a single light source. IMAX modifies miller welders and uses them to rectify the power for the projector. its around 40 volts and 400 amps dc. the capacitors in that thing are HUGE...wouldnt ever want to tear into one without resting it for a month. the movie mi4 is about 10 miles long and weights 700lbs assembled on the platter. its a pretty cool machine. if any of ya'll are ever in des moines, just stop by and ill get you free movie tix and give you a tour of the projection booth;)

do you got Smokey and the Bandit for that machine...and can we drink beer in the theatre?

i was thinking the back can double as either a drunkin cage fighting arena, or we could get a band to play rawhide in there and throw bottles at them like in blues brothers

If it were closer I would def check it out...the daycare biz is where the $ is at...and I could be a promoter for toddler cage matches and Blues Brothers tribute bands...the possibilities are endless.....I woudl want macgyver there as the Belushi look-a-like! :D

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses

"I don't think so, man. Those lights are off on purpose."

I recently watched blues brothers 2000 and remembered how horrible it is. really should have not messed with such a good movie.

although i must say the part at the end where all the blues legends are jamming, love that.

And again the grand cherokee is acting up AGAIN!! Just went to start it and she will cough and try to fire but no go. Barely any fuel pressure at the valve. I think the wife pulled in the driveway and it ran out of gas. :D At least I hope that is what it is.

Dan, I like your style...it is a shame we live so far away...maybe that is a good thing too! LOL

Just put a deposit down.
