Justin likened the inside of the weinerbox to the sound level inside a C-130.

Yours is all old school.

I've got 4 wheel discs.:greensmok:
Ive not locked up tires yet, but I can say that with a Jeep in the back it will still make you kiss the windshield if you stab at them hard.
I want disc brakes for mine but they run around 750 A SIDE, PER AXLE for the conversion kits. I'll design my own and have them custom formed at the steel place down the road, or sponsor R&D for RuffStuff and buy them there before I will drop that kind of cash, especially when the stock drums were designed to bring a 20k pound truck to a halt while hauling 5 tons and towing 10-15. I'll never put more than 3 tons of cargo in it.

Got the 97 titled, plated and insured today. And I added the obligatory NAXJA member sticker. Now all I've got to do to it to make it at least "fixed" is front u-joints, valve cover gasket, install the battery that came with it (after a test to make sure he wasn't pulling my chain), find out why it's popping cruise fuses, fix the fog light switch and lights, find out why the electric locks don't work, get the odometer working again and clean the baish up.

After all this, it's on to the step-by-step mall crawler. Body colored bumper, caps and fender flares, remove the plastic trim on the doors if it doesn't leave holes in the door (anyone know?), budget boost, front tow points, Hobag's shackle boxes, a touch bigger tires, chrome grill, clear coat repair, XJ pod rear sub enclosure, transfer cd player, get LF speaker to make noise, add some tweeters and some other misc things in there for sure...

At least I don't have to DD the green turd anymore.

Those are stick on, plastic putty knife, adhesive remover (good 3M stuff) a hairdryer and fishing line help with that.

Mac, too bad Gma didn't weld and have an extra tubing bender laying around. :D

I'll be on the road again Tues aft 4. Give me a ring if still on the trip home.

Lol I said that to my uncle at the funeral. She has a shop smith that dad or I would've had first rights to but neither of us work with wood or have the space. My cousin is Building guitars so he is going to get it. My dad and I told him we both want one...even if we don't play...

Very good possibility I'll be on the road then...thanks

I've been considering a tahoe/yukon as a dd for the wife and weekend jeep hauler. Easier to put kids in and wouldnt have to drive the heep to wheel.

Pay the bonnie off with taxes, then try to trade for one.

That's how I ended up with my Tahoe. Started out as the kid hauler and my occasional tow rig, now it's my DD.

you can get the pre 00 'hoe's for cheap. the earlier ones have rear leaf springs? I know my 93 Sub had leaves, not that towing with my 02 hoe with rear coils has ever been an issue. the earlier ones had the 5.7 vs 5.3, both great engines. I still wish i would have got another sub, however the hoe does fit better in the garage.

I bought mine 3 or 4 years ago before fuel went to the roof, I paid good money, prices are coming down. I want a 07 or newer now.

I towed my junk a few times with my father in laws 4.8 powered ligt duty 1/2 ton.

WD hitch, common sense, it's definitely doable.

I thikn a 5.3 tahoe would work fine, as long as your girlfriend doesn't kill the trans ;)

I drove a 2011 Tahoe with all the goodies in California last year.

That was a seriously fast SUV. Of course, it was a rental, so that might have had something to do with it.

I have recently decided to keep my durango due to the fact that trade in value is 1000 bux on a truck i spent 16k on and the last 9 years modding and taking care of...anyways when the time comes that i can afford a trailer this would be my tow rig. should work well enough right...im no tow expert that's why i ask so you tell me
99 durango 5.9l 4x4 lifted 5 in. (35in tires and 4:56 gears<----coming soon)
