Important

At close to 90 to fill up my XJ if not more, from empty, I really need a motorcycle to save gas this summer. It took 47 to fill up a little below half today.

<scratches head> How much are you paying for gas if it's costing you $90 to fill up a 16 gallon tank? I didn't know gas had jumped to $5.50/gallon.

I commute 92 miles round trip every day for work. Even at 19-20 mpg, it gets pricey in a big hurry.

if it's made of gold it should cool really well.

if you have to stop somewhere in OH let me know. I'll bring you wahtever you need in a 2 hour radius from Columbus.

If all goes well, I'm leaving after work Sun night/Mon morning and driving as far as I can w/o falling asleep behind the wheel.

bring him some brownies...

^great idea

I thought he was bringing me brownies?

He should have just bought an old used Uhaul, at least mine made it home :illegalflipoff:

almost funny, okay it was funny !:D!

16 gallon? I thought the gas tank was a 20 gallon tank? All I know is that it cost me 47 to fill up a hare (just barely) below half.

Do you take the big tires off and put skinny tires on so it fits inside?

I figure what ever vehicle i drive it will be a 1/4 tank to get to work and back, no way im going back to a frickin 4 banger neon :D

I know I put 11 gallons in right on half.

the mirrors on the doors are wider than my tires. I'll have 3" on either side to spare through the door. Then I'll have plenty of space once I'm trhough the door opening. It's 8 ft wide inside.

Silverthorne, same exit you normally use to get to Keystone.

:D

Late to the party but, It always seems like the best food comes out of the sketchiest looking places.

For example:
-LEI Burger @ Lake Emily Inn. 1/4# burger, 1/4# brat patties, cheese, mushrooms, onions. Hole in wall bar, Amherst Jct, WI
-Burgers @ Joe Rouer's. Any burger. Random building in Duvall, WI
-Fish Fry's @ Kropp's Supper Club and Farr's Grove. Both in unassuming buildings, Howard, WI
-Breakfast @ Southpoint Restaurant. Good old greasy spoon good for the after bar snack. Stevens Point, WI
-Finnish Breakfast @ Suomi . Little building on a side street. Houghton, MI
-American Fare and Seafood @ The Mariner North. Copper Harbor, MI
-Pizza @ Sven & Ole's. Little wood building. Grand Marais, MN
-Chili @ Chili John's. In a strip mall. Green Bay, WI

List goes on and everybody knows a good one. Just a few I really like. And they all aren't in great buildings or look iffy and if you find yourself in these areas check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Brian isn't exaggerating. The Suomi is a great place for breakfast. He could be referring to a few different things, I suspect he's referring to panukakku, an oven baked egg custard type dish served with a fruit sauce, and Nisu toast. I always try to stop in there for breakfast when I'm in Houghton.

Me, I try to find the tiny little hole in the wall joints where the locals eat.

Seems like it's a popular thing around here to have a brat patty. I dig it. There's a little bar called The Flyway just north of Green Bay. I've been there twice and had the same burger both times. That brat patty is a nice touch.

I love brat burgers.
