Important

who knows what's up with the ABS lights being on in every ZJ I look at?

I think I've found one for her, but the light is on and need to know what the common fix/problem is. It has to be common cuz it's on everyone I drive.

dan

Been driving mine for two years with the light on. But I can feel that the ABS is not working anymore.

Thats what I was wondering too. Either that, or I clipped a piece of exhaust piping that was laying in my driveway. That picture doesnt really do it justice. Its pretty dang deep.
Had to get a whole new tire because of the sidewall damage.

this is a real nice 97, cloth interior, 4.0 ltr, quite clean (normal starting rust on the bottom of the gate), 140k miles. $2500.

If you are going to own that, then you need to know this....assuming it still uses this type of computer... Link to fixing a ZJ computer problem

This is a great piece of knowledge that anyone who knows somebody with an older ZJ should know. I did the fix in two hours counting the drive to Radio Shack. My reason for posting is that it seems common that anyone who is having very odd, unknown, unfixabll ZJ problems will do this and it fixes the odd problems. My problem was with starting.

31x10.50s? Decent tread? Info from both of ya, the Durango needs tires.

Sorry, partial lie... 245/75/r16 Page 1590 of this important thread for lousy pics...

Good-Year MTR's 2 retread and 2 factory. Guessing the retreads are at 60% One factory is at 70% and planned to use as my spare, and the other factory is probably 40% They drove straight and noisy at 70mph.

Not sure I would want them on a smooth driving Durango...

Yeah, that's what I thought you had. The Dodge has 15s. The BFG ATs on it now are still ok, but it'll need new treads before fall. I was thinking Treadwrights if I can't find a decent deal on used BFGs.

After putting the new tire on, took it for a shakedown cruise... Rides a heck of a lot better. Guess that tire was a bit out of balance.

Kevin's '97 Grand and my '97 have the newer PCM with the three 32 pin (?) connectors. When I had that random no-start a month ago I even tried using his PCM just in-case. But that's still really good stuff to know.

Just bought a set of 31 BFG AT's w 60%+ tread for $100 for my DD, if they rub too much they'll be for sale.

Finally got my trailer I bought from Byron out of Macs back yard. Had it delivered to MI in a McD truck.

Picked this up last Sun.

1985 F-150 4X4. 5.8L,C-6,208 combo. Has a 9" rear with 3.50 gears. Should be a decent farm truck/tow rig once I get all the minor issues straightened out.

JIM.

should know by end of the day if I have to go back to work next week. Fed GOV shut down=unpaid vacation for this guy. And as luck would have it, it has rained here for the past few days and it is too muddy to do any field work. I may just work on my XJ :dunno:

Yup, the Kumho's will be off soon. Going to pick up my KM2's today! :D

Just got word that my income tax check is in

I keep weighing my options on either Jeep parts or tattoos

I would go w/ heroin, it is kind of a mix of the two you stated...it will leave ya broke like a Jeep will...and it is an addiction and permanent..like tatoos.

Read the "Heroin Diaries" by Nikki Sixx...it will put it all in perspective for ya.

Already got a chunk set aside for hookers and heroin :D
