im in need of a favor

i need to replace the pass. side ball joints on my rig pretty badly. im low on funds so i really dont want to take it somewhere ( i never have done them and tried a week or so ago and had no idea.) so if anyone could help me out it would be GREATLY apprieciated! lmk thanks!!

Too bad you aren't closer to me, we could knock it out in a couple hours. I have a ball joint press, and everything.

Thanks for the offer. ya a shop told me that they would charge $250 to have it done. im sure i can find it maybe a tad cheaper than that, but id rather spend it on a trac bar or something and get the ball joints done with someone.

Yeah the balljoints for just one side would probably run you somewhere between $25 and $40 (not sure its been a while since I bought some), and with a press they aren't really that hard to replace.

I'm out near Waco, and off from Fri. morning to Mon night. I've got a press, it took me a few hours to do mine. You're welcome to come out. I'm sure one of the guys closer can hook you up. It is really fairly straight forward. You can do the harbor freight thing, and get all you need for both sides for $150, I believe. Read the book, take your time, and learn. Or burn some fuel, I'm willin to help.

You can borrow the balljoint press from auto zone, and they just require a deposit.

you know if no one else from around here posts up to help i might take you up on that if thats cool. let me know what the best day is for you. i tried to attempt to do it a few weeks ago but i got frustrated and quit. i rented the press and the whole bit. id just like someones help that has done it before. i can also bring whatever tools are needed as well.
