Illigal immigration.

Before anyone gets after me, I didn't vote for Bush either. I generally write in for Roy Henry Boehm and James Dennis Watson III - Google both names if you're interested. I've talked to both of them, and they have the admirable trait of letting people know PRECISELY where they stand AT ALL TIMES. I respect that.

First one is the Father Seal. Seem to remember the other is Patches also a Seal under Marcinko.

As for New Aztlan have you read the series by Ian Douglas, The Heritage Trilogy and Star Corps, The Legacy Trilogy? He addresses it there.

Correct - Roy Boehm got the whole thing going in 1962/63 (under JFK) and Patches was Marcinko's point man in the Big Asian Vacation.

I haven't read that series yet, I may have to correct that oversight. Thanks!

I was born on foreign soil (Germany) to American parents. My Mother's family has been in the USA since before the Consititution was signed. My Father's family came here (legally) in the early 1800s.

My Father was working and living in Germany when I was born and I lived there until I was 6 years old. for some strange and still unknown reason my parents never registered me with the American Consulate although I traveled to the USA on my Mother's passport. I have a German birth certificate.

I served in the US Air Force during the late 60's and have voted in every election since I was 21 years old. I have worked in the USA since I was 16 and recently retired from a major US airline after 35 years of service having worked and lived all over the world. I have paid my taxes and raised a family, never commited a felony.

When I was 18 I applied for dual passports (German and USA) and have carried both since then. Since my parents were both American I have never had to register as an alien nor carry a "green" card.

A few years ago I had to get my passport (American) renewed and went through all kinds of turmoil proving that I was worthy of the honor of having one. Believe me I will never let it expire again!

Having said all of this I believe that if anyone wants to come here for the wonderfull opportunity and magnificent lifestyle that can be had here they should have to work for it. Any and all illegal immigrants that are here should be rounded up and deported to their home county ASAP. Those that are here illegally should not be given the chance for any type of amnesty. They know they are here illegally and have broken our laws. In my humble opinion the only way to set this all straight is to shut down our borders to any immigration for an extended period of time, say 6 months to a year. That would give INS a chance to clear our the riff-raff and then we could start a limited immigration policy for those that we want to let in for the purpose of becoming citizens.
