I wants me an XJ!!!

Ok so I'm new to the Jeep scene but thanks to my girlfriend and her family I'm hitting it hard and fast!!!!

They took me out wheeling at Cleghorn and I had a blast, even though I was stuck in the passenger seat the whole time!

So I'm not looking for anything too specific, don't really give a damn about bodydamage or anything like that (I figure I'll be putting plenty on it anyway), don't care about mileage as long as it's a good solid rig. I'm hoping to find something "trail ready" for around $3000 or so.

The only catch... I'm driving around in a lifted 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and I'm still trying to find a buyer. The sooner it gets sold, the sooner I'll get to have some real fun!!

Thanks,
Nick

I've actually thought about it but there's a problem with that..... I'VE GOT NOTHING TO TOW!!!!! ha ha ha

I really would love to keep it but 8.8 mpg just won't cut it as a daily driver.
That's why I'm looking for a rig around $3000, I found a little zx3 focus for $2500 and I'm selling my truck for $5500 maybe a little less.

I've got a 2000 Focus LX. How many miles does this ZX3 you found have? If its anywhere near 100k and the coil hasn't been replaced, do that first thing. Mine is going through that right now. Also, check the recline handles to be sure they still recline the seats and if possible, find a way to reinforce them. Our seats no longer recline because the handles are cheap plastic. They are toothed and slot over a "sprocket". The "teeth" strip out easily. However, enjoy the 30mpg racin it uphills (even climbing two huge hills every day, I get 30 mpg and I don't go easy on it), the nice handling, and if it's a stick, surprisingly peppy movement. Its a fully independent suspension so it handles good and rides decent, but requires the more expensive 4-wheel alignment. :) P.S: Welcome to the Jeep family, and good luck selling your Ram in this high gas price environment.

It has about 123k on it so I'm not expecting too much from it. The alternative is a Probe GT that my buddy has. somewhere between $1500 and $2000 for that one and they're alot more fun to drive!

Thanks for the welcome! I can't wait to hit the trails with you guys!

P.S. SWEEEETTT!!!!

My Xj is always for sale..:)

Get the Focus, forget the Probe...:DHaven't known anyone to have good luck with those things...specially the alien variety...

Hey man but serioously I might be getting rid of my current XJ. I might be trading my bike for a "better" XJ and the will have no use for mine. I will be asking around 3000-3500 for it, and when its sold will be buying a brand new suzuki dual sport..YAY!! Anyways I will let you know what happens...

Ok so I sold the Ram a few days ago and my search for a Jeep hasn't turned up much other than overpriced pieces of crap!

anybody have anything I can come out and look at? I need to try and get into something by tomorrow!!!

I'm looking for something under $4000

a trail in Corona that leads to alot of the south O.C. trails like black star canyon and such. Just a little history note... long before the 91fwy was built, Skyline Dr. was actually the only way in and out of corona coming from the West. At least that was what I was told by one of my grandmothers friends who used to come out here to race on the dirts track.
