96 Jeep XJ 4.0 won't go over 25-30mph

So, I'll tell the whole long, sordid story in case it's helpful. Last summer, my Jeep overheated, and one of my hoses blew out. I replaced it, the water pump and thermostat. I also wanted to investigate an exhaust leak. So, we pulled the intake/exhaust to see if we could find anything, but figured out the leak was on the backside of the header where we couldn't see it. So, we put it all back together. I took it down the road, and noticed I could only go about 25mph, I took it back to where we were working on it, we unplugged the battery for a minute or two, plugged it back in and I was able to go home. Next day, same thing. I couldn't go more than 25mph. I had someone suggest it was an O2 sensor (tried), and a TPS (tried also), but I'm still only able to go 25mph. I can't seem to get the Jeep to go over 3g on the tachometer too (I don't know if that has anything to do with it). Any ideas?

Any Error codes?

Sounds like it went into limp mode.
Might get lucky and fix by discounting the battery (for a few mins) to clear the PCM error codes..

Here is a link to good explanation of why a vehicle may into limp mode.
