I'll also have two full sets of spare 35 shafts.Lawn Cher' said:You'll be fine w/ 31's under a MJ. It's not made of plastic.

Gonna have to go and get some spare fronts though. I've decided to put them all in big pieces of PVC pipe and secure them under the bed rails. Easy and protected access.
Seeing as I have two set's of shaft, I might do donuts:roll:
I know it's gonna be the hella fun in the winter time though
and to think, I found this thing sitting in a bunch of Rangers I was looking at. I'm so glad my wife said we should buy the Jeep.LilRedRover said:I love manches... I wanna do a build up one of these days
87manche said:oh, so to bring this back up, Anyone know where to find stock spring perches?
I've call the dealer, a local spring shop, just about everywhere locally. Every place on the net says that the perches give lift, but in my case that would lower me. I just want a set of stock MJ spring perches damnit.

PN is P4120074
Knowing to search under Eagle's name had me there in 5 minutes.
Righto!Lawn Cher' said:If the arc in the perch is larger radius than the axle tube, it will still have a tangent point and give plenty of space for filling in with weld. Its easy!
87manche said:Got my percehs today, these thigns are real nice for $8 a set. 1/4" stuff it looks like.
THat and my gear install are going on this weekend.Haleyes said:Sweet.
Now, put them on the axle.

I started prepping the front axle a bit tonight. New TRE's all the way round in the steering. Tried getting the JKS discos on, but the stock swaybar connect bolt is a mother. Tried beating on it with a BFH but didn't want to bend the bracket on the axle. Gonna have to go and buy a hefty puller and see if I can't pop them out.
If you're not going to reuse those bolts, grind off the head, then put the nut back on and tighten it until it pops the bolt loose. Can't hurt to try that before you go spend the money on a puller.87manche said:New TRE's all the way round in the steering. awesome tip. I will not be reusing them, the JKS discos have their own stud.Mambeu said:If you're not going to reuse those bolts, grind off the head, then put the nut back on and tighten it until it pops the bolt loose. Can't hurt to try that before you go spend the money on a puller.
