Now all I have to do is save enough $$$ to re gear and locker it along with replacing the shoes and drums. Maybe add a U-bolt eliminator.

congrats, now donate it to me. :) I'll trade you a welded 27spline 8.25 w/ 3.55 gears, a Dana 35 w/ 3.55 gears, and 29-spline shafts spiders and carrier for the 8.25.

you know its a good deal. :D

WOW, what a deal.............................not!

I can top that deal I toss in my 8.25 4 bald 225/75/r15 tires and some scrap metal. O wait no the scrap metal I'm keeping how about some bent tie rods?

I feel you I have a D44 in my garage right now that I'm about ready to truss gear that I have all that for I just need to find a locker then it's game on with it. I even have a rockcrucher diff guard for it ready to go.

I'd like to upgrade the axle shafts aswell, but thats cash I don't have at this point. MIght hold a garage jeep sale here soon and see what I can come up for shafts.

DJ how much was your set of shafts and did you do the alloy or superior?

sorry thinking gears who else makes shafts yukon?

240 isn't bad at all. Might have to order some of those here next month.

I still have those gears I got from you like O a year or so ago. Have the metal to do the truss and relocate the shock tabs. for that price I might just have to get those in a month or right before I dig into that rear axle. Just need a locker. I really want an ARB but thats some cash right there.

Nice! Where did you find it?

It's getting harder and harder to find D44's for the XJ and the prices seem to keep going up.

Too bad the Waggy 44's have different axle shafts, those are easy to find.

That they are, I have a 33 spliner sitting in my garage. That was a hard pill to swallow.................:bunny:

:D Scored one myself about a month ago at a junk yard in Cheyenne, bought the whole Jeep for $400.00 pulled the Dana 44 and scraped the shell for $397.00.

I have a set of 4.10s and a carrier and a lock right for that 44 if you are interested. 300 for everything.

NICE! only 3 bucks in the hole and what ever gas it took. Not bad at all. I got mine from a guy that was going to build it up, but wanted a set of rock rails so I fabbed them up for him and we swapped.

That beats mine. I just found one at a pick-n-pull in Denver for $125. Took me about 2 hours to pull because it was sitting on its frame in the mud. Now I just need to put on new shoes and replace one oil seal.
