It's been a while since I posted anything about the mj. I figured it was time for a little update since I've gotten some work done on it.
I cut the rust out of the floor. There was some on the passenger side as well. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I put down a coat of por15 over the rest of the rusty floor after I got it all cleaned up.
I sprayed on some of the duplicolor spray on bedliner. Its easier than herculiner and since the carpet is going back in i figured it would be ok.
Cleaned up the interior as best I could, and put on some cheapo seat covers we had sitting around.
I had an ax15 out of a 96 xj sitting around before I bought the truck. So I pulled an external slave bellhousing and some other transmission parts I needed from the junkyard. I got a t-case from a 98 xj from yellaheep. I bought a luk pro gold perfermance clutch for it since thats what I've put in both the xj's and they have worked great. So I got all that installed.
Yesterday I got the SOA swap done. I read that it would give you
about 4.5-5". It's sitting a little higher than I expected. Right now there is more ground clearance at the front of the rear wheelwell than there is on my xj with a 3.5 RE lift and 32's.
And that is where she sits today. I have a hp dana 30 sitting on the side of the house ready to go in, and 4.5" rusty's coils on the way. The rear driveshaft is going to a driveline shop tomorrow to get shortened.
And that's all for now.:wave1:
