My buddies neighbor had a comanche sitting in his driveway that I've never seen move that I always thought would be cool to turn into a little project truck. Well, his neighbor is moving out of the country and told me it was for sale.

It's an 88 4.0 with 164,000 miles and a dana44 rear axle. It's 2wd and doesn't have a tranny.

$100 for the truck and $38 for a dolly to get it home and I now have this sitting in my backyard.

Very nice! Can't go wrong at all with a $100 MJ........

PM enroute...... You didn't say what transmission it's supposed to have, but I have a 2wd AX15 that needs a home. :D

Oh sure kiss his bum so you can sell a tranny. On the inside I know you are just as jealous he got a MJ for a Benjamin.

........ Not when I have a rust-free, straight bodied, '91 HO/Auto/4x4 short bed with bucket seats....... that I got for free......... :moon:

The pictures make it look a lot cleaner then it really is, and it hasn't run in about 4 years. The PO was going to scrap and that is all they thought it was worth for scrap so thats why I got it so cheap.

Ya got a title with it too?

What's the interior like?

If you ever wanna swap in a set of bucket seats, I've got a pair of MJ buckets - but they're blue vinyl........ :puke: Or if you remove the seat brackets under the bench seat, you can bolt those up to the bottom of a set of XJ seat bases. Ya just gotta drill out the spot welds and rivets holding them on. There's a couple of write ups on this over on ComancheClub.com

They couldn't find the title when I was picking it up today, but I should have it by monday. The interior is pretty dirty to say the least. It already has bucket seats in it, but I might swap them for some zj seats. Tomorrow I'm going to pull the old seats out and clean it up as best I can and pull the carpet up to check for rust.

Buckets too huh? Very cool!

Sure hope they find that title for ya......

Hope the floor boards aren't too rusty!

Yeah I think I got a deal for 100 bucks. If they don't find the title my mom knows how to get a new one made, afterall we had to do it with my xj. A rusty floor is the only thing I'm worried about on this thing, the back window was open about 2 inches when I picked it up so hopefully to much weather didn't get in.

Yeah, if you can get the previous titled owner to go get a replacement title, it's easy...... but getting a title for a car that doesn't have one is no fun at all...... and kinda expensive......

Good score!!!

If there is a registration from four years ago, the PO can use that to get a copy title. It's that simple!!! :)
