i finally figured it out.....

sidriptide

nobody of any consequence
it's a funny thing.. since i got back from the road trip to Moab i've been a lil "out of sorts" "distracted" and a lil left-of-center.... took me a full week for me get back into the whole work thing as well... it dawned on me this weekend why i'm all F'ed up.... it's Jeep withdrawl!! all summer i have been busy wrenching and wheeling every free moment (not that that's a bad thing) the month leading up to Moab was especially chaotic with a lift install, new engine install, and a 3 week bout with pneumonia (which didnt stop me from wrenching in the rain... hindsight.. pretty stupid) like everyone else i was busy right up to zero-hour launch time.... Moab was waaaaaaaay to short..... got back and its time to neglect the Jeeps and wrench on the kids/family life..... all of a sudden i have free time!! its a strange feeling.... being able to sit and not actually have something that needs to get done on a deadline. my trail rig is sitting with a dead battery and 3 lugs holding each wheel on... now that i've had a chance to relax, and diagnose myself.. time to get back to wrenching before it gets too cold....
.......... or maybe it's just me?
:D

Gee Mike,
I had the same feeling the last couple of weeks. I thought it was because my new jeep went to Colorado.

Hell, no, it's not just you..I said the exact same thing, not an hour ago, to my buddy here at work. I dove back into working on my '89, but it's not like doing a trail..kinda like methadone, or something, I guess. Not that I'm addicted or anything..and really, working 12-12 hour shifts in a row, means I can get armor now. (Wanders out into the desert muttering 'Jeep parts...must have more time to install jeep parts). But you mentioned family..didn't know a family came with a jeep...I've looked under mods..but..maybe mine's on backorder..;)

well i neglected the kids all summer... and wrenched on the jeeps.. now its time to neglect the jeeps....... but i just CAN"T!!!!!! now i have to find a way to squeeze women into that equation too.. them's mo' spensive than jeeps AND kids together.!! decisions.. decisions...
