Hunters/archers

I know I'm late to the game, but I've been out of town.

I know he wasn't asking about the legality. But I'm not about to tell someone to go ahead and hunt deer by shooting it in the head with a .22 because they don't care if it's legal or not. The way I see it, ignorance is not an excuse and I wanted him to be educated that trying to hunt deer with a .22 is not only a bad idea, it's a bad idea.

Walt- I dig the go pro on the bow. That thought has crossed my mind. It can make the every day guy the next big TV hunter because you finally have the exposure. That and you can show off your good stuff to your buds and fam.

missed this....

glad you brought it up josh. i agree.

doesn't matter if it's legal of or not. attempting to take a deer with inadequate ammo is gay.

Last season i was equipped properly and shot well when i had my chance. I was shocked that day when we couldn't recover. made me sick to my stomach. Can't figure why anyone would take the chance of leaving a deer in the woods for the coyotes.

Happens all the time though! I've never lost one, my step dad has lost one. Arrow hit a small branch. Looked for two days, and just couldn't find it. Rough feeling for sure.

Can't say I haven't lost any, few years ago I shot at a doe and the arrow clipped a honeysuckle hit her in the leg, she healed up fine I know this cause I got her the following season

the difference is (it sounds like) you searched diligently. the people who knowingly take a small caliber into the woods dont do this. if they cant find it right away, it gets left. the more time they spend roaming around the woods. the more likely they are to get caught. they know this.

now, the appeal to hunting with a small caliber? i have no idea. doesnt everyone like a bigger boom? :dunno:

Finally got a decent buck on trail cam this year, its almost like they are avoiding me lol

Haha!! That's so ghetto. Damn "smart" phones...

What's those funny things on that deer's head.

Oh wait is that antlers? Haven't seen those beyond a fork buck in 8 years here.

Can't wait for the wolf predator hunt.:patriot:

Lol I wish my trail cams took the mini SD cards my phone does I'd be in business
Can you put the mini SD card in the conversion card that makes it fit the regular sized slots and record onto the mini that way?

I would like to hunt wolves. Seems they would be very evasive and sly when it comes to avoiding predators. Highly skeptical and intelligent animals.

In northern WI they will do a wolf hunt. It is similar to their bear program. Anyone that wants to hunt needs to register every year and it's kind of a lottery where every year you do not get a permit, your chances are greater that you will get one the following year provided you register every year.

Problem is the tags are mostly for northwest WI and not northeast WI. Very few tags here.

coyotes!!

IT's a challenge

Coyotes are one smart animal. Seen one crawling across the field on it's belly to sneak up on a small fawn standing not 30 yards from it's mom.
