How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

Haha ya I like incandecent, I quite frankly don't care where my lightbulbs come from, I just use whatever my parents buy, and now my dorms I don't have to worry about lightbulbs. I was just being an ass to follow what the original poster prophisized.

Speaking of the glass coming out of the base, in my basement we have the lights that have the pull chain, so you never know if they are in the on or off position if the light is blown out. Well one time I went to try to get it out, and tried to stick my thumb in there to get a grip, turns out the socket was on, and I felt pretty weird for a while.

They don't actually use them theirselves. I have never had any problems with Chinese lightbulbs.
But then again, I do use GE lightbulbs...
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
Themselves... No such word as theirselves.

This thread is so damn stupid it needs to be removed and all these idiots who post dumb thread like this should get thier membership revoked and be forced to sell thier XJ/MJ.

Am I the one to stir the pot or am I too late?:)

I even put in spelling errors to make it more realistic.

I go to Home Depot and I buy a box of 60w light bulbs. I screw one into a lamp. Waaay too soon the bulb is out. I go to unscrew the bulb and the epoxy that is supposed to hold the glass in the base has failed. You start to unscrew and twist the leads together and the damn thing arcs and scares the crap out of me. I look at the box and it says "Made in China".

That's what I know. I'm converting everything to compact flourecent. they're still made in China, but they seem to be of nominal quality. In my experience, incandecent bulbs made in China suck.

JMHO YMMV :peace:

You mean open the breaker before I go messin' with a burned out Chinese lightbulb? After the first one, I caught on

Aslo, double check that before you stick the needle-nose plyers in there to unscrew the base :D
