i am planning on doin a bastard pack and zj coil lift i know that the upcountry zj will give me about 2-3 inches im just not sure how to tell the difference so that when i go to the JY i can get the right ones
im not sure but i know most jy' out here keep a record of all vehicles. maybe they will know if they have the upcountry v8 zj in the computer . i think even picknpull will tell you. i go to picknpull at least once a month if not once a week and ive never seen a zj that said "upcountry" on it any where and there are usually a least 10 zj's out there.
A set of skid plates and tow hooks might be an UpCountry. The only way to be positive the spring is UpCountry is to find the factory part number tag on the coil spring. The tag will a GN, GK, or G something else two letter code on it.
A 2" coil spring spacer is less work to get, costs about the same as used coils, and provides an exact amount of lift.
You'd be lucky to see an Orvis in a boneyard. Are there even any of them on the road still?? Haven't seen one on the road, on a dealer lot, or on e-bay in a looong time.
If you find one you will know. There is Orvis badging, they are forest green and have a 3 tone tan, forest green, and red piping leather interior.
That said, I don't know if it is "up-country." I was under the impression that was a Cherokee designation.
The UpCountry designation was used on Grand Cherokees as well. The Orvis edition ZJ's sat a little higher than the rest and some of the Overland WJ's came with the UpCountry package.
