Anyone interested in going to Hollister on Sunday May 6th? That's the weekend of VW's "Syncro de Mayo" (4wd Vanagon's) but they usually stay to the tamer trails and we didn't see much of them last year.
Disclosure: I'll probably be taking my wife and kids - they want to see me get stuck and then watch Tim pull us out.
Skill level: from complete newbie to experienced. Same deal as always: play at the obstacle courses, run some trails, eat lunch at the top of the White Rock, probably hit the quarry, etc. There is no pressure - run the trails you want, skip the parts you don't. The goal is to get the entire group to the next challenge, even if we split up and some take easy route while some take the harder route.
We had something like 12 rigs at Hollister in March and had a great time; everyone got off the trails and made it home in one piece (two pieces if you count Tim's busted front axle :laugh
