I am wondering what will be the highest gas price in SF bay/Sacramento/Tahoe area until the December 31st ?

Andrey, you forgot an option. "Too much."

What people out here fail to realise is that not everyone out here is a doctor, lawyer, or engineer making $250K plus per annum... It's getting to the point where "service people" are being priced out of the area - those who are left will either be incompetents who don't realise they're getting screwed on everything, or they're just charging out the wazoo to try to make it (regardless of actual skill level.)

I give it another 10-15 years before everything in CA is broken, and no-one wants to come around and fix it. The "major areas" (San Francisco, Sacramento, and LA/San Diego) are pricing help right out of the area, and the rest of the state is being dragged down by the asinine regulations coming out of Sacramento.

N.B. - I've no particular problem with trying to "protect the environment," "protect the consumer," or protect anything else that actually needs protecting. I simply take issue with the manner in which it is being done - a good example is the duplication of regulation by both USEPA and CalEPA - CalEPA adds a layer of management to no tangible end. But, it's a money spinner for the state, so they're certainly not going to go away...

Place I filled up on Saturday at $3.54 was down to $3.52 this morning. I filled up the wife's car on Sunday at $3.51 and tonight it was down to $3.47. I still think we'll hit $4.50 by summer.
