Heres what I did today...

I haven't checked why it's not working, if you find one with the tan interior I need the pass side trunk cover lath, just noticed it had the original roll up trunk thingy

I need the window though, don't know when I'd be up that way, long drive for something that minor

It lives again. Took it for a spin around the block, it still blows oil all over the place, need to rip the heads off again and put new gaskets in sometime.

There is a similar year xj with the burgundy interior and an ohc at henrys pull a part, I can test it and/or pull the ohc board for you if you want.
If the steering wheel is leather wrapped and in good condition, could you pull it for me?

Before I tore the dash out of my Briarwood, the OHC had stopped working. When I plugged it back in, it all of a sudden started working again. Worth a shot to see if the connector is loose or if a fuse is popped.

Will do. Anything else you need off it?

Thanks Ken. If the under hood light is intact, could you pull that too?

Unless it has a good quality chrome front/rear bumper, chrome grill, chrome pass bezel, or untouched rear bumper caps, I think I'm good. I need to get it looking good to sell it.

Edit: Crap, I just saw it was burgundy and not tan, my bad.

OK, I guess the wheel is off the list since it's the wrong color but I'll keep the rest of that stuff in mind next time I'm down there.

Speaking of crazy videos:

It rides about the same with a 5.9, 5.2, nv3500, nv4500, np241dld, np231j, 6 46" tires, a ford kingpin 60, and five jerry cans of fuel in the back as it does empty. Took it for a spin around the block since it hasn't moved in over a year, closer to two years at this point.

Awesome.

You know you have good luck when this happens... 25 year old jeep, probably the original sensor, it was rusted so much that a 21mm socket slid on perfectly. They're supposed to be 22mm / 7/8".

Spun right out. No elbow grease, no penetrating oil, no heat. I didn't even intend to get it turning, had the O/A torch in my other hand and was preparing to heat the hell out of it before attempting removal.

Today...I finally got mine registered. Picked up two tires and will attempt inspection on Wednesday.

This after buying it in late August, then swapping the head over the course of the last month.
