Heres what I did today...

Here's what I undid today...

Ants and rot make me unhappy. I was really hoping this cornerpost was still solid... damn previous owners...

- Ken "what cornerpost? Fml" Stein

I have a rather high cathedral ceiling in the living room now

Once I rebuild sections of two foundation walls and replace ~20 feet of sill plate plus an exterior weight bearing wall, I can put the new floor joists in and sheetrock the remaining bedroom.

Built sometime in the 1890s... it is a keeper, at least till I get bored with it a few years after finishing it. At that point I'll probably buy a billion acres in central New Hampshire and build a house myself from scratch up there.

It is a ton of work, especially since I am doing it essentially alone, it's fun and I consider it practice for when I actually build a house myself properly instead of spending way too long fixing a century worth of previous owner's ****ups.

i would be in 4th or 5th gear if I was doing all that work

Presently in reverse, but I've nearly finished tearing things out, at which point I'm about to put it in 5th and lug the shit out of it.

I'm so sorry

Finishing up packing my backpack to hike in Maine until Monday, then another weeks vacation

got this yesterday

drove it from stamford - home (2 hours) and no issues whatsoever, even ac works! one tiny tear in the leather on the drivers seat but thats it, interior needs a good cleaning but whatever

bumpers are rotted through and a couple tiny spots on the floorboards but for $700 I can't complain
