Heres what I did today...

like those rims and tires on the zj...

running a RC 4" lift & 35's in the pics on our zj, finally hit the trail with it....aka stretch out the bumper covers etc... I like the lift but the rear shocks are way too soft, looking for something better.....ran connected with a ton of bumpstop

This isn't today, but over the last few days worth of evenings...

I forgot to take any of repointing the basement wall, adding the anchor bolts, or installing that 4x4 section of plywood to mount the panel(s) on. Or for that matter, any of mounting the panel for the ATS to mount to. You'll have to use your imagination.

Halfway through running the feed from the ATS to the main panel:

Main panel.

ATS.

Everything:

Remaining to do: grounding+conduit (already bought 20 feet of #6 green insulated stranded copper), a clamp or two to support that feeder conduit, build and install generator.

Power gets turned off because you're broke and couldn't pay the bill? Lemons into lemonade, it's time to install the ATS and new main panel I bought two years ago for this project... probably paying the bill with my next paycheck and I'll be ready to roll.

1-3 weeks depending on how much I care and/or which bill I decide to catch up on first.

So my jeep was making some noise and Colin told me to check the flexplate bolts and I was like "wow you're probably right, that's what it sounds like" then the noise got worse and sounded nothing like a flexplate problem so I assumed my engine was ****ed. I don't take care of it so, seemed likely. Sounded like it was going to throw a rod any minute. Luckily there's a TJ in the shop with a bad frame. I started welding some plate to it. It's pretty ghetto, a lot of welding to rust. A few good hang boogers and a lot of gap filling. Trying my best to re-use the old mounts but they're thin to begin with and pretty rusty.

MAD PICS RIGHT!? Well I get to my girlfriends house and my cherokee sounds different. So I pop the inspection plate of and this bolt is like "YO WHAT'S GOOD CARMELO!?"

So I tightened it and now my jeep is brand new, and that's my life story.

Holy chit. I thought our stuff around here got rusty. Damn.

JORTS RULE!

I think it makes it better that I did it in the back of a windowless van, while moving, while sitting in a seat I bolted to the floor with grade 5 bolts and 5/16 self drilling sheetmetal screws.
