Heres what I did today...

Installed an SYE. I really need to get one of those sometime... got enough practice now that I did this one in under an hour, working on the tailgate of my jeep :gee:

Also finally replaced the ujoint and straps at my rear diff pinion, that thing was SMOKED and the straps were stretched out enough that the ujoint was flopping around in the yoke. For some odd reason, the driveshaft doesn't vibrate as much anymore.

yea that's a really stupid pitch design, or terrible execution by whoever installed it.

Had a load of rounds delivered a week ago, then my 16 yearold saw took a shit, went and picked up a new one this am and got to work.

Technically this was done yesterday but was dinner tonight... 14 hour smoke on a Boston Butt for pulled pork. I love this friggin thing...

Put my new 30 in, did a brake job on the front, discovered my right caliper is dragging something fierce, got home at 4am and woke up too late to even consider fixing it and going wheeling.

Screw it I'll deal with it later today.

Nothing like breaking the track bar bolt at 2am, was ready to throw in the towel but 90XJay found a spare in his parts pile and saved the day.

Made some paper thin bushings yesterday.

Made two of these, both are .01" thick.

Also this was originally cut in half with an angle grinder. I aligned the holes clamped in a vice a welded it up and turned it back smooth.

That is a really clean bumper dude... your design? I like it.

Few hours a day, i'm getting there. I realize i'd have frozen to death had i lived in the olden days or in Alaska..

Splitting wood sure is hard work... I've considered building a splitter, but I think it would come out like this and I am pretty sure I'd end up with the nickname "stumps" if I tried to use this.

that it the scariest Fing thing I have ever seen. I can totally see you building/using it ken.

I used a splitter to get 60 cords of wood one winter, splitting with a maul two years ago I did 4, but that was just to heat the house, once you get in a rythem you can really crank them out. But luckily I have the height to really get the axe moving

Theres no way in hell i'd get near that contraption Ken..

Hammered, that does look good.

H8.. you should stop in. ;) These rounds i have are pretty knotty, making it real tough to split. Started cutting them with saw this am.. spitting out spaghetti cutting along the grain. The junk wood gets burned in the firepit.
