Heres what I did today...

have carmelo do it, then you don't need antiseize (or threadlocker, it's dual purpose)

oooh you're gonna hate that after 10 miles i guarantee it. I ran without one for a few days, worst headache ever...plus it sounded like crap

Travis, (5spdxj) did that, and loves it. But then again Travis is a little special in the head...

Travis' Duramax sounds AWESOME...especially when towing a broken amber Jeep on the back.

ohhh I thought you called your Jeep the Dirtymax lol

nope that's Ross I think?

lol. No all he has is a pile of parts and a bunch of stickers. Somewhere on his lawn I think a jeep can be found.

my buddy had stacks and the muffler delete on his cummins and at a certain rpm they would hit what I assume is the resonant frequency of your head and it would explode and you would die. Its happened to me like 3 times already!

I attempted to install the tie-in brackets for my front bumper, quickly got myself into the all too common "son of a bitch" situation when one of the bolts snapped on the steering box. Then found myself wondering why that spacer is made out of something slightly stronger than a wet newspaper.

I might not be able to steer the XJ, but the bumper looks sweet on it.

I have 6 of those bolts in my shed if you need one

I buy brand new ones from fastenal. Actually for bumper building and mockup I use 6" long ones that I cut the heads off as locating pins, I thread them into the box by hand and then put the rest of the bumper bolts in finger tight so I know it's lined up properly before I start welding.

And I keep spares on hand for this very reason... I HATE having a bolt break off and having to wait to go get new ones and then find a way to get the stub out.

So who exactly decided the stock spacer for the steering box should cost $250? Thankfully the JCR spacer comes in tomorrow, I hate having my DD down for stupid reasons.
impossible

^^ x2. It's a shitty hunk of aluminum. No way it costs that much
