Heres what I did today...

I found an engine stand and a good condition 8 ft fiberglass truck bed cover in the woods at work

picked up my MJ from my old place last night, forgot to pull one of the ramps out while unloading.....thanks to it's siiiiick stock flex it wasn't an issue

So I went into jersy shore area to try to volenteer today. and I have to say it was a bust. I spent maybe an hour getting food ready for people who never really showed up. so I left there and drove around looking for people who needed help clearing debris from their homes/property but everyone was either gone or had contractors doing it for them.

so I didnt really do much, but it the thought that counts right?

Where were you?

Figured it was time to change the brakes on my wife's car

And took the two dead mice out of her blower

I pulled and cleaned my starter and its mounting surface hoping to fix the labored start issue I've been having. Was a waste of time. I'm gonna swap the battery with the one if my car and see if that helps if not its another warranty replacement for the starter.

There's one motor for one of the rear wheels.
Find one on craigslist that "doesn't work", take the motor off that one, flip it and put it on the other wheel, and wire it up reverse polarity - Then it'll actually drive in grass.
You can double up the batteries too, parallel will get you more run time, series will make it twice as fast...

That's awesome, I'll have to check for a write up on it since I'm borderline retarded, or I'll be in malvern in June if you know how :)

LOTS of sites out there dedicated to modding these things. My daughters was pushing 18V, and she was well on her way to being a junior rally cross champ until it broke in 1/2...:D:D

FYI...Don't put rubber bands on the rear tires.... just too much grip for the little gear boxes to handle (especially @ 18V!!!) I put rubber bands on the front tires so she could cruise across the lawn, then "drift" across our driveway.

If i thought about who would do these mods to a kiddie Jeep you'd surely be at the top of the list!

She outwheelin you yet? :wave1:

I got the dinky 6v ones so I could afford one for each kid, and my kids weigh next to nothing so I'll try to get them to 12v and if they get too heavy ill stretch the wheelbase and plate the frame for go fast races

They don't get them until Xmas, but my wife couldn't figure out why I cleared the basement until she saw the boxes

Started pouring out so couldn't finish the service so I have the panel all wired up but the main feed is a spectacular array of flying splices, only about four hours so far

If they're anything like my little girl, figuring out what "steering" means at the speed of a 6v is just fine anyway.
But yea if you want to add a motor shoot me a PM or whatever, it's not hard at all.
I'd say it's bolt on, but there's not even any bolts. The motor just slips onto the rear axle. Done.

I'm also learning how to do this today

Looks like fun, too bad you don't have a shower conveniently located next to it for quick cleanup

Found out the rear drive shaft from a '99 4.0/AW4/231/D35 is too short for a '91 with 4.0/AW4/the same 231 out of the '99/D35 and brand new leaf springs. Was getting vibes on accel and its because there isn't enough engagement of the splines.

Trying to install upper control arm bushings into an axle under the vehicle is beyond painful.
