Buddy stopped by and helped pull the mjs tranny, messed around with it and got it to shift again which saves a nice chunk of change

Harbor freight tool breakage:
3/8 ratchet
3" extension
1/4 reducer
13mm socket
16mm socket
10 mm socket

All of which were brand new as of this afternoon

Should have a moving truck Sunday Sunday Sunday

You'll have to snap a few pics of it once you open it up. There are some telltale signs of why the gears trashed. Most are because of carrier flex, but sometimes other things can contribute too.

the cross pin slid out and hit the ring gear

Yuck... Maybe the roll pin was re-used? It must have had some play in the carrier and worked its way loose.

Thanks for reminding me again that I need to add "build a battery box" to my list of things to fix on the MJ. Damn battery tore itself out of the stock one last time I went wheeling... apparently high speed over rough roads + whoops with a stock battery tray isn't recommended.
