help- no traction

While the real studs are smaller arn't they usually carbide so they wear down much slower?

I wish Ontario would let us use studs but of course they don't, they just pour salt all over the roads and rust everything out.

I'm thinking of calling the local tire shops about siping though.

Or spliting on a tire iron.

I think most of them are tungsten now so they dont eat up the roads like carbide etc. There were alot of studies done in the 70's that said studs caused rutting on the road surfaces. That is why they are banned in Ontario and some U.S. states and restricted alot of other places. Here in OK we are only allowed to run studs from November 1- April 1.
