Hey Pete, I usually go up wheeling to Rose City or Mio, MI roughly about 3 and half hours away. Rose City has Ogemaw Trails and Mio has Bullgap. If you ever get a chance to go up that way check it out. It's real easy to get up there, I75 north to ex 202 (rose city road). I'll be up there in the spring, im always down to go if you get out there.
Rocks and Valleys in Harrison MI, there is Bundy Hill in the southern end of the state, Silver Lake in the summer if you like dunes and bikinis. Tons of 2 tracks up north, but be warned you can only take your jeep where you can drive grandmas station wagon. DO NOT leave the 2 tracks, IT IS NOT LEGAL WHEELING.
I live in Midland, on your way to R&V, so if you head that way let me know.

ive seen a rise in the enforcement of this in the in the manton/mesick area.
DNR stopped me today when i was pulling off of the 2 track to park my jeep and hunt. they are fairly understanding though, as long as your not being an idiot. alcohol (especially of your not of age) will get you in trouble...
but now i just sound like im preaching...
