Hard water stains

I just picked up a little commuter car, and the entire right side is covered with water spots. I've washed it twice, tried simple green, windex, and some orange cleaner stuff, nothing makes a difference. it's even on the windows, and it wont come off!

I am going to clay it and wax it, but its going to ruin the clay bar pretty quick. Any suggestions to what i can do to get rid of the stains before i clay it? the paint isnt the best but it still shines... it just looks like it was parked next to a sprinkler for quite some time.

help!

thanks :D

Clay Bar, cleaner wax, and a good polish should work it off. Just plan on spending a whole weekend on it, its going to take forever. Try a razor on the glass.

Shit. Hahaha my bad. Don't waste your time or money on a clay bar. Use white vinigar and it'll come right off. I think you mix it half and half with water. Make sure you wash and wax afterwards though, as it'll take ALL wax off. (not that I think that car has any wax on it lol)

Yeah vinegar works pretty well.

What did you end up picking up?

If you still have it looking nasty next month when I'm in town, I'll come down and see what I can do. I've done some magic on the girlfriend's car before.

On the glass Mr Clean sponges work very well mixed with a drop or 2 of dish soap.As with any product try it in a spot out of the way not in the middle of the windshied not in your view.

I'm down. I'll be in So Cal for 3 weeks with nothing to do.

0000 steel wool foor the window would help too.
