I haven't done a load of searching on the thing for mods, but I really like the LaserLyte sight I have on mine. It was more expensive than the factory laser sight, but I prefer the looks of the LaserLyte piece.
I'm going to have to look into the steel guide rod and 13# spring.
If only I could get the trigger shortened. Or at least the take-up.

I like the Crimson Trace laser but with a $200 steep price tag. bt quide rod is nice and getting rid of the stock 9lb spring can solve some major issues. there is a few trigger mods and a few aftermarket triggers out there if you look at ruger forum.com under elsie trigger pea mod.

I have a membership..
Pro's
Open 5 days a week until 8pm,
You can reserve a lane online up to weeks before.
Clean
You can buy ammo onsite, comparable or cheaper than retail
Gunsmiths on site
discounts on gun purchases for members
you can fire any caliber
They are working on a tactical lane
You can rent most guns on the store floor for $10
They host a number of classes including concealed carry, and mostly there are member discounts
Con's
In addition to 27.50 monthly dues there is an initiation fee of 350 dollars for the first year
There is only one rifle lane at this time
The only ammunition restrictions is it can not be armor piercing or incendiary
You must purchase ammo to fire through rented guns
They are generally pretty busy
You must check in for you lane no more than 10 minutes after the reservation was scheduled for, or they will give it away.
The lanes are only 25yd.
When all lanes are in use it can be very loud
If you are reserving more than a half an hour you may have to switch lanes to accommodate other reservations.
My main reason for joining was because I work less than a mile from it and can jump over there after work or on my lunch break.
They make you purchase expensive ass 7.62 ammo as anything.else will puncture walls. gunsmith takes excessive time to get back to you if he ever does. got fed up aftrt ordering parts. prepaying. then not hearing back. no returned calls. had to go in to find out they sent parts back after they sat too long.

Sounds like a great option if you can afford the membership, monthly dues and are a very avid shooter.
I don't fall into that category.
I'll stick to outdoor ranges for now.

Too bad you are not closer to where I live. The range fees just went up to 65 a year but are still a real bargain. We have a club house, an indoor small bore and pistol range, two outdoor rifle ranges (one a 400 yard and the other a 600 yard), a Quigley 1000 yard black powder range, three outdoor pistol ranges, trap, and skeet. There is the usual fee for trap and skeet, and the other ranges are not overly fancy but well worth the 65 a year.

Considering the size of Co.Spgs, it's amazing that there aren't more ranges available.
My buddies range off judge orr is great and very private. 360* berms. wide shooting area. and then he has about a 600 yard long rifle shooting range on 1 of the side as well it's sad thing is if you don't know him personally you have to pay for one of his courses to be a member. membership is crazy cheap and usually just me out there if i go on a day when there are no classes.

We had two smaller mom and pop ranges that shut down over the years when the town grew. They just kind of got swallowed up by the subdivisions. The way things exploded along the front range in Colorado, I wonder if this is what happened there?

There was one other indoor range years ago in a defunct strip mall near Chelton and Jetwing. It's now a church of some sort.....

i shot a friends ar with he angled fore grip...it was pretty sexy. anyone know if they make hem adjustable? as in you can adjust he severity of the angle? i would like one but think being.able to.adjust it for better fit like my stock would be groovy.......

AR's don't need forward grips, that's what the magazine well is for.
Im asking for my ak...
i use mag currently as it's ease of grip, mag change and it's free. but im more accurate past 100yrds with hand placed a few inches forward

Local gun shop has a few stripped lowers coming in here in a couple weeks, so my name is on the list for the next batch that arrives. Gonna be starting with a Stag Arms stripped lower, Magpul STR butt stock, PSA mil-spec buffer tube assembly, And a PSA advanced lower parts kit with Magpul overmold grip. Haven't decided on what's going to be on the upper but it'll definitely be a flat top with some sort of quadrail and flip up sights, Optics will come later. I will be dedicating the build to My buddy Tim who took his life about a week and a half ago. Gonna have some custom engraving done to honor him.

Ya he just put in on a couple days ago....
i just think adjustable would be super easy and make it awesome...
maybe I'll just suck it up and order one...which requires new hand guard with picatiny rails....
