Hey I am looking to buy a 350 or greater chevy motor with an auto transmission for a project (non-jeep) and had an idea. Maybe if there is a truck or 4x4 that has an engine I could use and has axles and parts some other people could use we could buy it.
A few thoughts and concerns I would have are:
1- Where does it get stored? (I have a 2 car garage but maybe there's a better option)
2- What Chevy has axles you might be able to use?
3- Figuring out a cost spilt.
Basically it will take me half a day to get the engine, trans and various parts for my swap out of it. Probably about the same amount of time for you to get your axles too. SO I'm thinking if someone has a good trailer to drop the body on, then we could have it taken to the recycler also.
I sold my trailer so I have no expectations of being able to haul it off afterwards.
This is just a though to save a little cash... maybe a few hundred each and the guy with the trailer gets the recycle money (not sure what that is anyway)
