I figured that it'd be good to start a list of businesses/shops that have stuff we need for the jeeps. I suggest that each county have it's own thread, and that posts have only business addresses and what they sell (if not self explanatory). OT post will be deleted to avoid clutter.

If you need gear work done, this guy is the best in my opinion. Jim built a rear end for my prerunner that was abused for three years and never gave me any problems.

Oh crap the 909! Now were talkin!
San bernardino is my hometown.

For those of us on the cheap a great source for parts is pick a part on waterman and 9th. They usually stock 3-5 cherokees if not more, I've seen as many as 10 there at a time.

If pick a part san berdookie doesn't have what you need hop on the 10 exit miliken and go south all the till you almost reach the 60 and go to that pick a part. Usually upwards of 15-20 cherokees/mjs in stock and I've found many xj/mj d44s here.

Scottys jeep and 4x4 in fontana off of cherry is another good one. If there is some super wierd part you need that the junkyards don't the WILL have it there, for a price.

Tri-County Gear in Pomona, gear installs, parts sales, good pricing on TeraFlex.

JE Reel Driveline in Pomona, driveshafts, "unbreakable" dshaft unjoints.

If you need an engine built, check out my brother's(Bob Brady) shop. He and his partner(Dave Basham) built my stroker. Dave also was the head engine builder for Banks Engineering in Azusa for a number of years and was on the 4x4 Extreme episode that featured the Duramax build for Urban Guerrilla.

No love for Scotty's? Its one of the oldest exhaust shops in the 909.

As long as your not saying scotty's jeep recycling or what ever they call them selfs. Cause that place is a money trap. Way over priced and argant people. IMO..

x2 scottys is a very last resort.

I second Dave Basham, I have never met him, but I know his daughter's they worked at my dealership, we sent him heads, blocks, flywheels, and whatever else we needed done, and never had a problem with any of his repairs.

called scotties today got a decent deal from them for a change

gas tank skid
factory hitch
both nut strips
all bolts
and they gave me a half used bottle of a off brand loctite
$50

BUT something I never had happen before is Scotty made the deal not his :jester: clowns

I usually only call them to see what is the max price for stuff or how much I saved at pick a part.

I will let the prick out in me, and go as far as to say that maybe after thier "head" guy there, the one that was to stupid to put his seat belt on while drinking, and trying to climb a hill way too many times for any half way inteligent person to realize that his POS was not going to make it and it was getting dangerous, then rolls it and kills him self, passing away was good for their company?

There prices have always seemed high to me, I just got a trailer hitch with all the bolt, and the strips for 24.99 from pick-a-part....new 18v cordless impact made short work of that. I just called them the other day to get an ax-15 they wanted 650 for a used one, you can get them "new rebuilt" for 650. They are a last resort for me...

I usually go to that Midnight Auto off of Waterman and (ninth?), they have excellent prices and always a few XJs/MJs to check out. If you are local to the 909, i think that place is worth checkin out really.
