On camera it doesn't LOOK that bad. But after watching a few majorly built buggys on 40s not make it up I'm quite sure it's tougher than it looks.

and I did see one Cherokee go up it. It was blue, chopped, caged, 60s linked rear, etc... He rolled it before he made it up it tho.

This weekend? Me and April were thinking about trying to make it out there to give the Jeep a small test run. I need to make sure I have everything squared away before we go to TN. Tho, I'd like to have a few more things done before I do anything strenuous. I really need to change out my u-joints... What day are you thinking?

Say Lowrange2 would it be a good idea to put the date in the title of the thread, to keep me reminded of when it is? There's an extremely outside chance that I'll have the rear axle regeared and could find my way out there.

Yeah, I probably should have done that but I don't have the ability to do it now. I'm sure PacificEd can.

I still haven't called to line up the dates and let them know that we're coming. I was hoping to get a decent headcount first.

If I have the jeep next summer it's on though for a trip to TN for some wheeling.

I really want to go but have to get a couple of things for my XJ and get them installed before they will let me on the trails (namely tow hooks). Assuming I can find some hooks and find a way to install them safely I will be there.

Would I have problems in a stock XJ?

well you have quite a few options for tow hooks out there, and i know Tyler (team willys) makes a bracket/dring mount for the XJ that is really stout.

i on the other hand have quite a bit of work to do, and i have a few days in the next month to get them done in... it will be close but i think i will have her ready to romp the rocks at the flog

list to finish for me:
get new radiator mounted hooked up and running (not stock and HUGE)
get my front axle moved 1" forward
check out my tcase and see where it was leaking from and fix whatever....
get my tire vulcanized and get a spare JIC
a few odds n ends to touch up
get my CB wired back up
