Goatfest

Jerk.
I assume 10 east through yucca.

Only if you plan to pick up a little somethinsomethin in Landers to ensure you stay awake for hte full three days and nights.

15 to Bear Valley Road, turn Right. Go until you see Boone Road.

From San Diego I go wandering up til I hit the 10 in Beaumont, then go east to the 62, northeast on that to Yucca Valley, and northwest on 147/Old Woman Springs to Boone Road, and turn right/north. I don't detour to Landers... But lots of folks go the I-15 to Bear Valley route, especially from the greater LA area.

I will likely have semi-decent, if sporadic, cell signal out there. I hope to get there before dark on Friday. If anyone's noticeably lost (especially easy to do after dark out there), text me at six19six 54 nine75eight. I'll have coordinates, and may still be sober enough to be of assistance.

It's much easier to find the lakebed now that the road's better maintained due to King of the Hammers. But if it's been raining, who knows...

Yep, 2 mile difference between the 10 east or going through victorville /QUOTE]

But you can typically go 65 up Cajon Pass. For Yucca you have to slow down a bit on the first grade and if your XJ is tired you could get slowed down a good measure on the final climb into Yucca. Then it's town speed through Yucca then another steepish climb up Old Woman Springs/247 to Landers.

I should be pulling in around 10pm tomorrow. If you see a sportsmobile stuck in the mud, that's me.

Im a little ahead of you. Shooting for 8-9pm.

Bear Valley Road has lights for the first few miles but other than the few at I-15 they're timed pretty good. Just cruise at the speed limit and you'll make most of them if traffic isnt too bad.

Do NOT neglect to find me. I have certain malted beverages and Spiedie sauce that I don't want to have to haul all the way to PSR. In addition, you best come over for Saturday dinner. The usual fare.

Sorry to hear that John. Send me a PM with an address and I'll send you some Spiedie Sauce. I brought some out to give you at GF.

I should know better. IMEF is calling me, WARCOM is calling me, Spieidie sauce is calling me, Stone IPA is confusing me, west coast rocks are calling me, my 06 is demanding me, WTF I wish I had never lived on the left coast, ah shit what do I do?

Easy. Come out for dinner Saturday night. The Spiedies are marinading as we speak. Pork, chicken AND lamb this time. Pick up your Spiedie Sauce, save me the postage, and take a flight out of PSP to where you need to go.
